Managed to score 100, which I’m quite happy with. Liked the visuals, but I had a rough time distinguishing between the “left” and “right” sometimes. Overall very neat little game, but would have loved some music to play along and speed up with me as it goes.

Good work!

Thanks for your comments :)

I will rethink about the perspective to get distinguished left and right. I think it is okay about up and down :)

That music idea is cool. I'll give it a try :) thanks

Cool idea, I liked the low poly look and lighting. Holding space to go down felt a bit unintuitive, I'd reverse it and have space go up, just because people are used to jump being up. Could use some black holes or something to avoid, things that steal your light would add a fun dynamic to the game.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback :)

I will try to put an option about reversing Space control.

Also some orbs with negative effects is cool idea. I will implement that with next update.

A very pretty endless runner.

I was very fond of the audios and graphics I must say. Especially graphics; the low-poly models, combined with the lighting effects, looked pretty in my opinion. Combined with the synth sound effects of switching your direction, going lower, and collecting the orbs, created an ominous atmosphere, which I really liked!

As to gameplay, it could have been much better. I think, that due to the perspective, it would be better if you would control the orb with the up-down controls, rather than left-right ones. Also, due to the previously mentioned perspective, as well as slowly rising speed, and the poorly implemented controls, it was really hard for me not to miss at least one orb from the spawned orb clusters.

Overall, it's a game with a really nice minimalist graphics, and a great atmosphere, however, I think that the gameplay mechanics, need to be reworked. But still, you've done a decent job!

Very pretty!

But when does it end?

Developer

Thanks :) Actually there is no predefined end condition. But when the light intensity goes up to maximum range of float (it is 4,294,967,295), It will throw an error then you win the game :D

Is it better to have predefined end condition?

I got score 100.

Cool graphics , but i think the lighting its too bright and when you get closer to an orb its hard to see where is it, also its quite difficult to lose, to be honest before reading the comments I wasn't aware of the fact that if you don't collect orbs your light fades away, maybe you can make this more clear using some UI elements.

Developer

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I will fix those first update :D

I love Graphics! Low poly + Illum !

I liked this game! It would be a bit better with W and S instead of A and D (for me, anyway) as it felt more up-downy than left-righty.

Some of the orbs might be too close to really “read” the pattern.

Is there a win or end condition?

Developer

Thank you for your suggestions.

There is no win condition but end. If you  don't collect any light for a certain time you will lose your brightness (light). And game will be over soon.

Do you mean that the orbs should be more closer or else?

The orbs need to be spaced out a bit more or easier to distinguish somehow. For instance, if your pattern was (right hi orb) followed by (left lo orb) they kind of overlap a bit. Once the pattern gets complex it’s hard to read as you approach.

Also it seems that you can never run out of light if you stay still sometimes. You hit enough random orbs that you just keep going.

Understood :D I will keep these in my mind and try to apply  at the first update. Thanks
