Really cool shader effect. I dig it! Also, the gameplay was fun, and the bosses were tough!

I loved playing this game, even more so when the main character's a vegan badass!

I was only able to find 1 secret in the first zone, 2 or 3 secrets in the second zone, and just 2 secrets in the final zone. They are quite the revelations of her life :o

My only problem was adjusting to the patterns of the first 2 bosses, while the 3rd boss appeared to be changing her patterns, at least until my second playthrough :p

Great work on this submission to the game jam, and I look forward to playing more of your games in the future :)

I loved this game! Well done. Being a vegan, I especially love all the powers she gets. Those bosses were tough!

What a beautifully charming game - I managed to run into a few secrets accidently which made it even cooler. Really nice work! Those boss battles felt really well made, took me a good few attempts to win Mum

I loved the vegan part of this game.  I thought it was a really lovely tongue in cheek humour to add.

Love the swimming feature, that was really cool!

I also had the problem with the health bar.  My heart stayed full until I died and respawned so I didn't know how much health I had left.

Developer

Thanks for that.

If I could get your Browser/OS that'd be great.

I have no idea why it wouldn't work. It's just a UI Image inside a mask that changes its fill amount. I've used it loads of times before.

I was using windows explorer

Developer

Fix is up, can you let me know if that's solved it?

Yes it is working on Windows Explorer now! :)

problem: The heart/health icon does not reflect the player's actual health.

Developer

What's wrong with the display? Seems fine for me. you got a screenshot/video or something?

the heart-icon stays constantly full, no matter how many hits the player has taken.

Developer

What browser are you running on? Works fine in all my tests.

chrome, mac

it works now.

sorry for the wait, medical appointment prevented me from testing it earlier.

The boss battle was pretty nice, I like that the boss freezes when hit, as it allows the player enough time to get out of the way. It's pretty allright, and I like that you included a hint about secret treasures, as I hadn't run across one and would be able to keep an eye out for them in the future (though with how frantic the timer is, I feel as though I'd be pressed for time if I went looking for them-- you may want to tone down the counter a bit and find ways to encourage exploration.) Aside from that, I don't know how to feel about the touting of veganism; it seems a bit out of place and crass in how it was delivered, so it made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

You're probably right about the timer. Once the voting has ended I'll probably remove it

As for the Veganism I'm not sure what's crass about my delivery of it? It's supposed to be a play on the 'Veganism gives superpowers' thing. It's not my intent to make any kind of statement regarding Veganism itself, it's just a framing device. It's about the character and why she continues to be one. It's supposed to represent anything that makes you, the player, feel better about yourself and the reasons why you do it.

I'm not much of a writer, so any tips you have for getting that across better would be appreciated.
