I feel like the graphical presentation is just a few steps from being something amazing, as it's now it looks like a well made flash game, not that it's a bad thing, I'm just pointing it out because I feel you're on to something really cool with the style.

I didn't find the gameplay to be that fun, but I'm quite sure it could be a great game with some tweaking, though I'm not even sure if it would be better with a slower more methodical style, or as a fast twitch based shooter. As the game is now I felt that taking damage was often unavoidable.

Thanks for the feedback!  Yeah we weren't left which much time to balance difficulty since we spent most of the time getting the random generation and AI to work right but those are definitely all things we plan to revisit after the jam is over.

Hey, this is Jason, the guy who did the majority of the art. I'm just popping in to let you know I completely agree with your assessment of the art. I wanted to attempt a style I haven't before. However it wasn't as polished as I wanted because I only got to do one pass on it. I was hoping to do four passes total. I didn't get to spend as much time on it as I hoped. If we continue on with this project after the jam I'm hoping to do an art update for sure. Thanks for the comment and as always THANKS FOR PLAYING!

I was loving this game so much, it's a pretty fun run-and-gun platformer. And then I realized: The levels are randomly generated. (I only read the description after playing the game.)

Then I loved it even more.

I think this is my new favorite game of the Jam. Nice work!

Really interesting game. I love the cartoonish art style and the enemies were hard to beat!

Thanks! Yeah spent most of the time on AI and random generation it didn't leave much time for balancing...may try to balance it a bit more after the jam if it seems like it needs it...definitely adjusting the boss fight a bit though

Oh man, I had a blast playing this. My first thought was "The looks are kinda lacking", but when I started playing, I couldn't stop until I died so many times, I thought the fabric of time is going to overheat from too many captain's dead clones. The cute characters, the short but well done storytelling, those were bonuses. What made it for me was the enemy AI. Maybe I just have a kink for AIs, but I really loved how the baddies behaved.

That's a cool game, it vaguely reminds me of mission impossible. Nice work :)
