This is such a fun concept! I love how you introduced the mechanic of hiding in the coral through the narration! Amazing work my friend!! Very fishy!
I love the atmosphere of the game! It has a nice eerie vibe to it while also being cute! I got spooked a couple of times! Fun game :D
Very nice and cute game :D. Good job !
Very immersive game! You really manage to set the deep sea atmosphere! Good job!
The silence is so oppressive that in the first time I found the right fish I got scared by the victory music 😅
About the gameplay: Escaping from the chasing fish is a bit frustrating once we have to turn off the light in exchange to see nothing in our way. A better approach would be the enemy itself emanates light in a periodic way to indicates his position. This way, we can see our path to continue and see the enemy at the same time.
Also, adding checkpoints would be a nice feature considering the length and the difficult of the levels
Overall, a nice game! Congrats!
Thaanks <3
I am now terrified of the deep sea because of the no warning instakill lmao but despite taht its a great game, the ambiance is nailed and the gameplay is cool !
thanks alot <3
Nice game, I love the name , you got a lot of info on the angle fish there . It gave me a real dead space vibe . once I convinced myself that it is only a game the fish are not real ,and I am not a fish I was fine. The no warning insta kill felt a bit unfair but , the fast respawn made it so that was not too bad to get back in.
Thanks for reply! yeah, in the next build we will put checkpoints too
Great submission! You nailed the horror genre and the fishiness!
thx for reply!
I like the atmosphere a lot
thx <3
The experience wasn't so positive, I couldn't feel the dangers of the levels so clearly, in addition to being a little long for a game jam game. But the artistic aesthetic was really cute. good job!
thanks! we will put checkpoints in next build
I think you nailed the creepy horror esthetic really well. Those giant fish freak me out! I did have a bit of a hard time navigating when it was pitch black. Maybe it was my monitor settings.
thanks for reply! <3
Weirdly immersive; I genuinely felt like a fish in the depths of the ocean. 😩 The huge fish chasing you is like terrifying lol. Could've done with mid level checkpoints but cool game with a cool concept! :)
thaaanks! we will put checkpoint next time <3
Wasn't expecting this to turn into a horror game! The last level got really frustrating but I powered through it and finished it. Not sure how to feel about it as a whole but definitely an experience I'll remember (mid level checkpoints would go a long way :c)
thx for reply! we will fix that <3
Nice game. I love it, but it's not very mobile friendly
Hi Mel, thank you for your review. The game is not playable on mobile, only on computer, since the movement is only possible by WASD or Arrow Keys.
Alright Tiago, thanks for a wonderful gaming experience
A weirdly scary, but even more weirdly sentimental game! Good job! The instant death against the eels feels a little harsh, but they're not hard to dodge once you get the hang of it. And most importantly, an easy 5/5 Fishiness(?) score!
thanks <3
The levels seem like they were designed to be too long for a game with an insta-kill mechanic and no mid-level checkpoints. There's also no real indication of danger before you smack face-first into it, and this holds true for the green light eel creature, since it's impossible to know which side it's pointing towards. I'd suggest adding positional audio for all other fish and changing the light for the eel to a cone shape for people to infer what direction it's facing to make it fairer. There's also not much in terms of player direction, which I can see why that would be justified, but it also ends up detracting from the experience, and it ends up being a bit frustrating once you start introducing stealth mechanics. Conceptually, I think it's very cute and fairly interesting, and I like the stinger that plays whenever you complete a level- it just needs some improvements to the player experience.
thanks for the comments! ya, a bit difficult, we gonna improve it in the latest build!
