  • Couldnt get passed second level with the spiky ball. A tutorial would've been nice, it seems like it's supposed to be an easy simple level, yet I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, I need to fill up the screen with the green ball, but there's no way to do that without touching the spiky ball and losing. Seems like I'm missing something.

Did you work alone, or as part of a group? (If in a group, list their names)

So juicy! I really like the simple visuals and how reactive it all feels. I also like the wario-ware style where you have to quickly figure things or lose by lack of time. I had A LOT of trouble eliminating the red pointy circles, and even after reading the comments it took me more than 30 tries to get past level 2.

Here's how I got past level 2 : I dragged and dropped the circle several times on short distances towards the edge of the screen while it was getting bigger, and managed to get it out before it got too big. However, that didn't work on level 3 because there just were too many red circles, and that method would have taken way more than 10 seconds. So sadly, I couldn't get past level 3.

One other thing I had trouble with is the increasingly high sound effect that indicates the seconds elapsing, they almost hurt after the fourth beep, so I had to mute the game. But I really liked the title music.

I think the concept and idea are great, I absolutely love that examplar level of juice, and the elegant simplicity of the graphics. I wish I'd understood how to proceed, though. With a little bit more polish on the controls side, this could really shine! Is there more variety in the levels after level 3?

There is a difficulty setting on the home screen at the top left. You can have a maximum of 20 seconds if you want.

I tried my best to make the timer sound less irritating and that's the best I could achieve, sorry that you have to miss out on the rest of the sounds in the game.

Thanks for playing my game 😄!

Great fun, i'll be honest it took me a while to completely understand how to avoid the traps, but once i understood it was almost natural
Beat the game on superhuman with a pretty good rank (i think (i already forgot it while writing the comment lol))

Superhuman!? Thats amazing! Thanks for playing. I made the game have some difficulty but overlooked how players will figure out the spikes😅. definitely something I should improve next time.

I've been trying to figure out how to get rid of the red spikes and I cannot do it even after reading other comments. I've tried to do it both slowly and fast in different ways. Unfortunate, because I wanted to see what kind of puzzles there were.

Developer

I'm sorry about that. Try dragging them from their edges off the screen. It's easier the smaller they are

Okay I finally figured out a consistent way to do it somehow and managed to beat the game. I liked the variety in the puzzles. I'm improving my rating now that I have played it all.

Cool, nice to see others using Gdevelop

So here are my final results. Like most people, I struggled with the red spikes at first, but after I found out that you don't have to click the black centers, it was pretty smooth sailing. Overall a unique concept that's fun for its short length.

Awesome game. I was a bit confused on how to get rid of the spikes. And even when i read the comments, I still didn't quite understand.

Took me a long time to realize what exactly I was supposed to do with the red spikes. It is not immediately obvious to a player that they only disappear if their centers are off screen. On my first attempt I kept dragging them to the edge but nothing happened. I only noticed that dragging them to the edge has any effect when I looked at one of the gifs on the game’s page.

great job. I hope you see this as positive feedback.

There are a few things that I like to say about your game.

The mechanics of dragging the red spikes are a bit too unreliable, and to make the spikes go away, you have to move your mouse really slowly to the edge of the screen for it to register, and that goes against the fast-paced nature of the game. and sometimes it does not register at all, so you have to let go of the left click, and that registers as a click, so it expands.

but the keyboard part of the game was much better. Also, the game juice is pretty nice.

Sincerely, this could have been an amazing typing game.
