This was quite fun! It took me a while to realize I could move my character at first. I was wondering how to hit the people coming at me from the left and I was clicking there but it didn't work. Once I realized I could move, the game became much more fun.

I played on the easiest difficulty, and I could sweep left and right and stay at full health. I went to over 10k points and gave up, but it was fun! I then tried the next difficulty and didn't last very long. I also played the blackout mode and that was pretty fun too.

Overall, great job, I think the concept is pretty cool. Echo-ing Hythrain, I'm not sure how this is fighting, but the gameplay itself is fun.

Thanks you a lot for playing! Nice to see you liked it!

Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 6! My name's Hythrain, and I'm one of the hosts and streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live on my stream.

I'm not exactly sure what makes this a "wicked dance," but I got the fighting part for sure. The idea of your health bar also being your attacks can seem interesting at first, but it also caused a lot of game overs for me as I would be spamming to clear away enemies only to get low and then get hit by an enemy and die. There were even times where I died purely from attacks. I would suggest that you can't kill yourself from attacks, no matter what.

On top of this, it wasn't clear what the power-ups did. I would grab them, but see no change in anything.

Other than this, it was a decent experience and somewhat fun. :)

Hi hytrain!

Wicked Dance Fighting is a name I picked up from the little feet anim the enemies has and a meme with friend, not much of a backstory and I saw no other games with that name so I grabbed it lol

For power ups I see I gotta add an indicator for what each does, but for now the effects are:

Light blue = +Max Speed

Green = Full Health

Purple = +Shield (protects you from enemies and kills them)

Red = Extra Sword

Orange = Longer Sword Range

It's fun, the concept is good, the only complaint I could have is that the sound is too loud and that the menu is a bit confusing, but overall very good work.

I like the game overall, but I think I found some things that can be improved.

The enemies can spawn right next to you and hurt you without being able to react. I would have a spawn radius around the player where enemies are not spawned or moved away from the player.

The enemies can spawn outside of the playing area and are stuck outside. I recommend having it either by a one-way wall or limiting enemy spawns to the arena.

In the blackout mode, the border to the arena is not shown. I got confused about why I stopped moving as there was no indication of a wall.

You can still take damage even when you have the shield. This can cause your death if you are at one health.

I recommend deactivating the player's hitbox and reactive it at the end or something else.

Having to move the player to use the start menu feels weird when all other menus use the mouse, and it is slow and not intuitive. I was confused about why, when I clicked start, nothing happened, and maybe even though the game was broken. It might be better to just use the mouse or do both, but I don't recommend doing both.

I wish you luck on whatever you do next. Have a nice day.

Thanks for the feedback!
Ye i thought i had fixed all the spawning issues with enemies last update with some anti cheesing fixes + a few checks, but it seems it either got broken or it was just a placebo and wasn't working, thanks for telling me
I'll also fix the menu thing, im not gonna remove the ability to move around and enter menu buttons like that, but im also gonna add the option to just use your mouse.

For some reason, your attacks does damage to yourself. Hitboxes are misaligned and attack misses when it clearly visible that it connects with enemies. This game needs a lot of polish.

Developer

Hi, yes the attack does damage to yourself because that's the point, I put it in the description "but beware, every missed swing means one piece of your health is lost, but incase you are victorious you will get double of what you would lose."

Also thanks for commenting on the hitboxes, I will try to increase the hitbox size for enemies, thanks for playing!

I like that the difficulties are rather like mods that may change the whole mechanic ... the choice of colors and moving scenario has a bit of hot line miami in it ... wish I could move faster, music is very good btw
