- This game has the best, straightforward and clear farming mechanics in this jam, what you see is what you get. And it takes time, long enough for you to appreciate when you can reap the fruit. However, the visual bugs and the lack of music really detract from the experience. Feeding a monster is interesting but it's unfortunately underdeveloped.

Solid base for what could be a pretty fun farming game. Had a good time watching things grow although would've been nice if time would pass a bit faster though in-game as without other areas to explore the timer drags on or leaves me with way too much time.
Overall solid start, it'd be great to see this fleshed out with a proper progression and some other things to explore/do really fun little jam well done!
There's something about a nice isometric art style that makes me keep coming back. I love the little details around the plants as they grow over time. The watering animation, while nice, was a tad long. I wish it was about half as long, but not a big deal (why I said keep the double watering in as a "feature" in another reply).
The first time I met the thing in the drain was so great. Sadly, I was getting around the end of the 2nd spring and had it alt tabbed for a couple min and when I returned, it was at the "Summary" screen, but it wouldn't let me continue, so I had to call it quits.
All said, that was pretty cool. Curious though, does something happen once you feed it enough peppers and potatoes? I couldn't tell if there was a progression related to the creature.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the game! Sorry about the bug and no there isn't any progress system. Are you interested in seeing it continue developed?
I think you've laid a good base for the farming system. Could be interesting to see what you add to it :)
Cool art. Impressive number of crops you can grow!
Some of the colliders don't seem to be in the right place (e.g., I can walk all over the trees in the forest, or on the roof of the house).
Also, I wasn't getting any audio. Not sure if there was any, but if there was, it wasn't working for me
At the end of each day the label made me expect some kind of summary of what I had achieved, but I didn't see any statistics.
Lastly, sometimes the game would select two tiles at once, as in the screenshot.
Thank you for the detailed review. I ended up spending most of my time working on the art and didn't leave enough time for development so a lot of features are kinda wonky
There is so much to do and so little time! But hopefully you had fun and learned a lot while doing it. :)
I did! I really did learn a lot and feel proud of the art I made
Please keep the double select tile in! It's almost like a high level play :)
Love this, and love the art style <3
Good job on the game. I like the pixel art style and farming system. Seems unfinished, but it's a great start.
Great to see another game made in Godot. :)
I found a bug when you open inventory, the game is stuck until you press esc and then return.
Thank you. Yeah, I probably had too big a scoop when starting lol. I planned to have an actual inventory system but didn't end up finishing it in time.
Like the graphics! The amount of available plants is also good, nice project!
Very solid base for a solo dev! The art is really good and all the mechanics work perfectly, well done! I was really not expecting the thing from the sewers haha!
I found a little exploit where if you stand between two tiles, you can interact with both of them.
Im glad the sewer monster got you lol
As for the exploit I decided to keep it, since it just made some things easier. Rather than forcing only 1 highlight. Its basically due to you being inside two area2ds at the same time.
Awesome work on the art! It looks clean and pleasing to the eyes.
A little sfx and bgm would elevate the game greatly.
thank you!
I absolutly agree and hope to learn about music composition in the future so that i can do that.
Where's the actual game?
EDIT: Oh, I opened the wrong file!
sorry about that, could you tell me which file was incorrect so I can remove it?
Oh, wait, never mind! Both of them work now!
