Good work. The game is fun, and set in interesting historical events.

I hope there will be other games like this one in the next jams.

wow, smashed it. i few close calls, and man did i feel bad when i sailed away in my boat and that lonely roman was there screaming for me to safe them. still i just looked in my bag of coins and the feeling went away. :)

I'm pretty sure my NES woke up and stared at me with envy. Overall I had a good time, the people are such a trap though...you want to save them...you really do....Sigh....Oh Nubbins

Thanks!  The game was made using the Sega Master System palette, so I think it would be very pleased indeed to see a NES looking upon it with envy  ;)

Loved to take path with coins instead of rescuing someone. Overall really good.

Thanks!   I think there are a few places where the coin paths are actually more valuable than the rescue paths.   Well, more valuable in terms of score in the game that is.  More valuable for your eternal soul, maybe not so much.   ;)

Solid game.  Fun, not too hard to finish each level if you just wants to leave... but then you get caught trying to save people and get coins.  They get me every time. :)

Thanks!   Definitely had 'temptation' in my mind when placing all those coins and citizens.   Glad to hear it worked out, although maybe not for your poor runner.  ;)

Autem ludum desideraretur occasionem habeat totam Latine

lol, thanks!

I actually did have it all in Latin at first.  Well all except the options menus, that would've just been cruel.

But I settled on just the Roman citizens speaking Latin after hitting the Game Over screen during play testing and thinking 'What the heck does this say?'
