The game would absolutely benefit by removing the hunger meter. Hunger meters have a place, but I don't feel like this is the right one. Imagine if Super Mario died of hunger, right? It's an otherwise fun game, but the arbitrary timer spoils it. The artwork is nice, I like the animated water and how every fish has a fun design to it. The sound effects can be a bit rough, but they aren't bad. Nice work.
Loved the game and the sound effects, it was a bit difficult to begin with but as you learnt where specific fish can be found it created an interesting strategy. I'd also found a bug where you can spam click in a specific spot and farm a lot of fish from the pond area so that helped haha
This game needs more balance, but I appreciate the idea :) Sounds are too rough too. Cod sfx should be changed in my opinion. Anyways, congratulations! ♥
I agree with the other posts on here. The hunger mechanic really takes the fun out of the game. I would suggest slowing the timer or getting rid of it all together. I think that losing hunger per cast would be sufficient. Great music and atmosphere though.
Relaxing but difficult. I suppose fish are picked randomly, and it's really hard to get the ones you need. There is a calm ambiance. Gameplay seem to rely too much on chance for me. It would add some challenge, and less randomness, if regularly we saw the silhouette of fishes in the water, and must hurry up to fish in that direction. Though it's well executed. Music and sound design are good. Well done.
The audio is quite relaxing. As others said the hunger is dropping too fast. Visuals were great too. I would also avoid big walls of text in a tutorial. Other than that great job!
I enjoy the idea, but would have liked it more if i could do more fishing before dying.
The game seems to take forever. I can’t even finish the first day :(. Then I found out I can get loads of fish by spamming M1 as soon as a fish bites. I still don’t have all the fish I need and now my inventory is full and I can’t get rid of them quickly because they will poison me.
Nice music and overall experience. More skill based gameplay would be nice, but overall a good amount done in 48 hours!
I think the hunger rate needs to be a bit lower. I was basically eating all my catches to stay alive. Pretty good humor factor though.
A bit challenging, and I seemed to get every fish other than the ones I needed. Not sure if there was a strategy I'm missing or if it was random. Really liked the music. It was nice and relaxing. Sound effects were pretty good as well. Graphics were a bit rough, but not terrible.
