The biggest thing to note that I haven't seen any other comments say yet, is that before you hit the 'confirm' button, the window with the instructions obscures a lot of the level, and there's no way, according to my understanding, to close the window before hitting confirm. Most of the levels I played it wasn't a huge deal, and the window is slightly translucent, but it's definitely hard to plan ahead without knowing the full details of the level. And considering that you only get one shot at the level, since there is no retry button, it's very important to know exactly what's ahead. Cool mechanic, and nice entry!

Yep, you called it! I realized that after submitting the update. Adding an "Info" toggle would've solved it.

Thanks for playing though. ^_^

Unique game, definitely keep on it, if you improve the graphics and make it longer you have a full game waiting to be sold on steam, I personally would buy it

Developer

Wow, thank you. I have plans to work on it more. We'll see how it goes.

Great concept!

Thanks!

I really liked this mechanic. You should iterate on it.

Thank you! I got the idea when I re-watched the trailer for Crysis.

Super unique! Definitely explore this concept more, cuz with proper level design and context, this mechanic could really go far. Love the main character's jump sprite, btw. Really gives a good sense of motion.

Developer

Thank you! I will definitely work on it more as soon as I have some time.

This is the most original idea I've seen so far on this jam. I really like the implementation of the powers and the puzzle element. It's unfortunate that you couldn't finish it and even now it's a lot of fun to playtest and I can definitely imagine it being a great game once complete and polished.

Developer

Thank you for trying it out! I'm glad you like the concept. I hope I get more time to work on this between classes.

Interesting idea, but could at the very least use a retry button when failing a level. For a game like this, it's almost necessary to iterate on designs until you get it right. If it had that, I think the act of timing your mutations and your movements together would make for a really interesting game.

Thanks for playing!

I skipped the restart button as I was running out of time and didn't find it absolutely essential(compared to other UI elements). Definitely annoying,  I know. I would update it but I'm not sure if it can be counted as a minor bug fix.

Nice concept, but execution could be better :D. However i know its hard to make a game in 48 hours so good job for finishing something :).

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Yeah, I agree. I was considering un-submitting my game since it barely qualifies as a game at its current state.

Concept looks interesting. I'm not sure about the sliders, why not simply button virtual/physical for mutating, with a limited number of mutation (of 1 in your cases). It will be more responsive. But perhaps have you plan more things for the future that make sense. Though good job.

Thanks for playing!

It's supposed to be a puzzle platformer but I guess my level design is pretty sub-par. I agree that the UI for adjusting the mutations is not great. I was trying to make a timeline of sorts but I barely got the current version working. Hopefully, I get to spend more time on this project later on.
