Dungeon parts good, the island too big and empty i think. Enemy art is nice but game need some feedback when taking and dealing damage to others. Game was fine just needed more work.

It looks quite nice and the turns  and steps all work well.
It was difficult to keep track of where I was in the dungeon because there weren't any notable anchor points.
Didn't manage to find much before the end.  Just some chicken and quite a lot of swords.
Here's my playthrough.  The first two minutes are before I read the game page:

I was able to loot quite a lot of items, including golden egg, a chalice and a fancy sword.

I liked the idea of digging up the treasures and looting, it kept delivering new items, but I found that I only take 1 damage from enemies and healing items were almost missing, I was only been able to find a couple of them, so my health kept being low.

I’m not sure if there’s an ending to that game, I’ve spent quite a while exploring the island and the dungeon.

I found movement a bit unresponsive, would love it to queue my inputs and provide me with some feedback on my button presses.

Music was especially nice in the dungeon, I liked it!

Good job on this one, felt strange and mysterious at times, which is refreshing :D

There are some game breaking bugs. When I try to open one of the boxes in the beginning it gets stuck and controls never respond again.

Developer

you need to use the mouse to drag to your hotbar or inventory. a bit unintuitive, or just not explained well

I don't know if I got to the end or not, but I did find a chalice deep in the dungeon. Unfortunately, I couldn't progress since I had a full inventory and no available slots to empty the chest. I consider it a win though that I found the chalice, heh.

I didn't encounter the lighting issues so that was fine. The environment was nice and movement was satisfactory. A good crawler base, all in all.

It's fun to explore around and I did like seeing some weapon and armor upgrades.

This was pretty fun. It was big an open, with a cool dungeon to discover and treasure to find! I liked the graphics, especially the plants on the island they reminded me of some older school games.

I wanted to finish it, but unfortunately the lighting problems in the dungeon and inventory bug prevented me from doing so. Once you had enough treasure to fill up your inventory and quickbar slots, you unfortunately couldn't continue because you can't drop items and the treasure chest locks you until it's empty.

I hope this could be fixed so I can check it out post jam and finish it!

Gameplay here

Really interesting world! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the games from the Dungeon Crawler Jam.

I enjoyed exploring the world, it was interesting for a while. The water effect was nice and you captured the sense that "anything could be here". Having the enemies dance around is a nice touch.  I really think it has a lot of potential and I would enjoy seeing a more developed version.

I did some digging, and upgrading gear. Fighting some mobs and getting lost in the dark.

The game world is a bit to large with a bit to generic environment.

The Indoors prob has to many light sources which makes some of them disable when you move through the dungeon, it gets pitch black.

Would be nice with some information for what the items stats are and what they are used for

Thanks for the game!

"Thanks for playing!" Very nice ending screen.

I really like the look of the 2 enemies and the music inside the dungeon is catchy. Having an outdoor sequence before entering the dungeon is always extra cool. The length of the game felt right and the difficulty perfectly appropriate, I died once, then simply didn't rush onto the outdoor enemies, entered the dungeon with more chicken and it went better.

Movement feels alright although I generally prefer when I can walk as fast as I press the button even if it means enemies have to act instantly. Combat and balance especially are perfectly fine in the context, even if I rarely understand the moment when I get hit to the point that at some point I genuinely wondered if what hit me was something else than the enemies, but I guess they just randomly shoot from  some close place which is fine but was perturbing at first.

Pretty fun!

Hey! Awesome game! I really liked the visuals, and the buildup to getting to the dungeon was fantastic. The combat feels great, a little unresponsive but battles can be intense. The movement and controls are rough, and you should be able to move multiple tiles from holding down the button. The lighting was awesome but seemed to be somewhat buggy, as well as the enemies teleporting sometimes, but the enemy design is sweet! Overall, awesome project!

thanks for playing & leaving a comment i appreciate  it ^~^

although, what do you mean with the controls? even in browser build i hold down input just fine. is it running poorly on your end?

Cool game, at first I thought it was just open world, which was pretty sweet. But then I got into the dungeon. The lighting was awesome — some areas were totally dark, I couldn’t see the walls, just the torches. I also had no idea how much health I had, so I kept dying and didn’t know when to eat the chicken. Overall, a solid game for a week's worth of fun.
