Theme incorporation
The cosmic horror theme was my choice. I wanted to escape a bit from the cliche of an "actual" dungeon by making it a space themed where something went wrong and this octopus like space monsters overrun the place.

A solid entry with all the basics of a crawler; movement, XP, monsters, combat log, music and sound, even a brief intro. No bugs that I found, which puts it ahead of my entry.

Some different monsters and some more loot or pickups other than medkits would have been nice. The game did feel a little light on the "cosmic horror" theme, given that it was just some empty halls with some easily-defeated enemies; without any other storytelling it felt more like just a monster hunt.

But overall this seems like a good framework to build on. Thanks for submitting it!

Nothing much to complain about here. Movement is solid, combat is basic but gets the job done, I liked the enemy models and exploring the space ship. I wish there was more traps or interactivity and like others I passed by the exit several times, so I think there could have been a better indicator/tile graphic for that.

The game was small and neat! All enemies looked the same but the combat was quick and easy. The maze got a bit much after a while, and I think I spent half my game just trying to find the exit. I passed it several times but did not think it was the exit so I kept looking.

Music and sound effects suites the game and the corridors game looks nice.

Good Job

Mission Completed! At first I was quite scared of the terrible monsters, but after killing a bunch, for the first time for their specie, they knew terror. Lightweight game, but it works. Map is small and varied enough that you can get around without a map. Good job!

Yes!  It ticks all the boxes.  Simple and effective controls, and balanced enemy with med kits.  You have to be careful, but it's not punishing.  I enjoyed the whole thing.

Solid entry. Combat was satisfying, so was leveling up. Got the research data, spent a lot more figuring out where the extraction point is, accidentally triggered it in the large room, hah. Could've used a marker there or a different tile to denote that it's the goal tile. Well done!

MISSION COMPLETED

I had fun playing the game, the textures, enemy sprite and music have a cool handmade feel, mashing the attack button is a fine combat system to me, the game is not hard but you can probably die if you're too reckless.

Especially in this frantic game I did not like that I could not walk as fast as I press the button.

Thanks for sharing.

A solid entry, Everything that is there works well.

A bit of nitpicking:

Movement on KeyUp() is an unpleasant experience. You usually expect something to happen as soon as you press a key and not only after you release it. KeyDown == action like in every application/game.

Some walls had the same texture as the doors and that can be quiet irritating.

Something like an direction indicator that points to the exit would indeed help. It does not need to be active before you reach the terminal.

Well, the game runs good enough and the octopus sprite look fine and I kinde liked punching them to death. But the music was really grating. And the game needs a minimap, as I had to go the extraction, but could not find it. Maybe add a couple of more textures as "landmarks" so it is easier to orientate.
