Cool ending. I liked the instant movement, but then the one thing I did not like is that I could not speed up the combat by pressing Enter to move to the next feedback text. Consider adding that if you continue to work on the game. This aside the game is fun and charming.
This had it all in a small, nice package: maze, combat, progression, quirky ending. Good job, would definitely play a longer version.
That was pretty nifty.
I liked the crunch buzzy sfx and pixel art. It all ran pretty smoothly.
And even though it was short, you added a cool trippy flourish at the end which was nice.
Always good to see another Gamemaker dev
Really nice start, especially for a entirely 2D entry. Good job on keeping the stats small, each little upgrades really felt decisive. The layout of the level was very easy to navigate despite looking really simple. I though that combat was too frequent but on such a short game it really doesn't hurt
Great job overall, really loved your ending. I just wished there would be more movement options.
Haha that fourth wall break at the end was great! Fun maze runner, I think the sound went perfectly with the visual. Great job!
Nice little game! I like the simplistic graphics and you nailed the perspective.
I wish I could control it with arrow keys and/or numpad since I am left handed.
I hope you continue developing on this because I would like to play more :)
+1 for instant step!
Thanks for the review, and yeah, I didn't think about adding a left-hand control scheme at the time. Also, the ending was planned to be more involved in the theme of duality than what was in the released version.
Loved the ending!
