I’m a fan of how you’ve used the MS Paint style with your ridiculous designs. The lightning-fast movement feels very appropriate. (I did notice I can step into some wall tiles if I turn corners suddenly, but it didn’t make me get stuck or anything.)

The Undertale combat stuff is put to charming use, and is that a bit of Dicey Dungeons influence in the RNG mitigation, too? It all comes together very well. Some of the enemy dodge phases should be shorter though – it drags a few of the fights out, which isn’t so much of a problem, but would be in a longer game.

So many great things here! The aesthetic is super charming. I liked the enemy encounter transition. Movement felt great. I was impressed by the enemy/enemy attack variety. I appreciated that losing set you back a battle instead of sending you back to the beginning. The adaptive music was a nice touch. Excellent work.

RNG is finally on my side for once! Not rolling a 1 feels great. Would love to see more of this if you continue.

I killed the cat rider, so... RIPBOZO

Cool and fun game!

I really like the hand drawn-like artstyle.

The music and SFX were good too.

Having two generes it's an interesting idea, and changing the style in combat definitely made the game better.

Super funny, loved it.

Dodging phase was a bit too long, but still had fun playing.

Love the humor and art style, it looks really cohesive and polished! I too found the dodging phases to be a bit too long , they slow the game down, but it's not a major problem. Awesome work!

The combat is brilliant and innovative, but it gets boring pretty fast. I would make the dodging phases slightly shorter. The art and music are pretty cool and it's overally feeling polished.

Excellent entry, very polished. I really liked what you did with your totally original combat system that I never saw before, especially the way each weapon is its own dice.

The art and music are really their own animal, very pleasant.

Solid and polished game with a beautiful and coherent style. The movement is great; very snappy and responsive. I like the combat style. Very unique. Well done :)

The perspective could've been improved a little bit. Because of the small tile size the player can't see parts of the floor and corners on the current tile and that makes orientation a little bit more difficult. This can be solved by increasing tile size in combination with pulling the camera back a little bit or by increasing the FOV slightly.

I didn't really see a clear interpretation of the theme, but I guess there is a duality of game mechanics when you have a combat like that. It's thin but it's there :)

+1 for funny writing on the game page :)

Wow, this is a strong entry as far as I'm concerned. The game is very polished.

The movement feel is perfect, the gfx, animation, transition are very good.

The combat taken from this one game is really well executed, the game features plenty of unique enemy moves and even the difficulty is right on point.

And you're doing it all by yourself including the music and gfx ... congratulations !
