After I got teleported above the fist level - there was a bit of floor, one alien and no walls... I think it either bugged for me or it just ends here for now?

Stun gun didn't stun aliens, I think? Only was able to do the killing part...

Interesting idea of gun color being used for puzzles. Though had to read comments, since the first note didn't work for me.

Needs some work on, but base ideas, story and gameplay already there, so it can be an interesting twist with a shooter-crawler puzzle game!

Thank you for your feedback! The last part is supposed to be like that, it's meant to be the final showdown with the boss on the top of the spaceship where the main character's friend is being held, we just ran out of time to really polish the concept. We plan to update the game post-jam, and will definitely keep your feedback in mind!

The gunplay was nice, as was the red/blue theme. But I had to read the comments to figure out how to get out of the initial room and whatnot. Finished the first level and the second seems unfinished? Very good base for a game, with some work you might be on to something here.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! We plan to go back and fix some of the things we weren't able to finish post-jam.

Nice game, I like the design and the gun mechanics. Well done

I think the notes that I am supposed to read tell me how to go through the door puzzle. Brute forcing and the door is still closed put me in shambles.

I like the idea of having two modes of the gun though.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! We ran into problems implementing the notes system at the end of development, so we plan to patch the game post-jam to add it in. The puzzle to open the door requires all the color blocks on the wall to match, then the door needs to be shot to open it.

The game is overall in a rough state but I don't mind the clean gfx and like the alien design, the music fits. Movement, if smooth, is maybe a bit slow (not sure if the gun fights requires such slow movement)  but the gun fights are fun in part thanks to the two gun modes.

Bonus points for XBox controls! I have carpal tunnel syndrome and much prefer being able to use my controller. <3

Music had a great spacey-creepy vibe that I loved. Sadly, when it reached the end of the song it seems to just stop. Would love if it looped.

Graphics were solid and didn’t clash with each other.

Controls worked well on the controller (though all on screen text was for keyboard). Movement / camera rotations were a bit slow and frustrating for my preference.

Overall, a solid entry. I killed some alien scum and had some fun! Thanks for a great time ;)

Note: This doesn’t install with the itch.io app so I had to download it manually which was a little annoying.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad the controller option made the game more accessible for you! Toward the end of development, the input settings got messed up on our background music which broke the loop sadly, we should have it fixed on our post-jam patch. :^)

I couldn't read the note or seem to do anything.
I only got out of the first room by walking out of the door backwards.
And the non-lethal gun didn't seem to do anything.
The concept is cool, movement felt OK, the music was pretty funky, and there's a slickness to the primary colours on white environment.

My duality was red v blue?

It took me a minnit to figure out how to play, but I got there.

I pew-pewed the bug men.

I read a log.

Yep. This is certainly a game I played.

I liked the idea of a shooter with controls of a dungeon crawler. Not really something that has been done before but a lot of the controls just didn't work for me at least. I tried "reading a note" by pressing R but all it did was to hide my UI

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We ran into some issues while implementing the final features of the game and will hopefully get everything sorted out with a future version after the jam.
