Really good game, I had a few problems with it unfortunately. First off, love the shaders they look amazing, really liked the story i experienced and characters

As for small improvements, indications of what act you were on would be nice, when leaving the bar or fridge it'd be nice to spawn outside the door rather than in the centre. Custom font couldve been nice too

I got to a point in the game where there was no dialogue so seemed to be softlocked and couldnt finish the game.

Aside from the bugs i got, really good game!

Thank you, glad you liked it, sorry for the last impression, there is just no end :(
Couldn't finish on time

Amazing original artstyle, wow! *-*

The music, the shaders and the characters design really give it a unique atmosphere: it's nice to see something so fresh! Congratulations :)

Thank you !!!!

Really nice art style in this game and it's something quite different, that alone makes this game impressive.  I really liked the characters and especially their animations -- the way the officer rocks back and forth, the way carrot talks, or the way chocolat's idle animation is tapping his chin and his foot, etc.  Great stuff.  For me, the movement worked fine and didn't get in the way of reading the dialogues.  On my first play, I got softlocked while interrogating Mole #2 -- the conversation just stopped and I couldn't move or do anything.  On my second play, I walked around questioning people until the dialog boxes were exhausted, and looked for those glasses.  I also experienced the question options in dialogues fading to transparency (for me, with the scarecrow) that was mentioned elsewhere.  The look and feel of the game were cool, it's off to a good start!

Thank you so much for your feedback, I was planning to put the search for points in an additional quest. Also,  with the scarecrow it should be so, he has a choice of options for some time and I wanted to play it funny, but it is what it is :) Just bitten off more than we can chew. But I'm happy you liked it !

really cool visuals and characters! it's a shame you couldn't finish it because it looked like a funny case to solve, what was there was great!

Developer

Thank you, I myself regret that I did not have time to finish :(

Really enjoyed the style, visuals, shaders, music, and mood. Great job! As others have mentioned, the camera and movement was a bit tricky. But I really liked how you drop the character right into the story without distraction, and made them explore to discover. Impressive job within a jam!

Developer

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it :)

The visuals are absolutely awesome! But sometimes, your dialog options were dissolving into full transparency. Is this a bug?

Developer

Thank you, unfortunately this is not a bug, they just don't have other dialogues :(

I mean the buttons were disappearing in a few seconds while I was reading them, as if the opacity was animated from 1 to 0.

The art for this is awesome and the shader is excellent. This is a concept that I root for you for and hope you continue if you find it beneficial to you!! I could definitely see an audience for this growing if you take the time to implement all the things you want to while also considering scope. Though I had a hard time really interacting with much of anything I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong but I only managed to successfully talk to the bartender for one dialogue option and I couldn't see what they said or what their name was because the camera shifted perspective while I was in interacting. When I went up to doors it said open only at a certain point which I felt strange. prompt should appear when player is closest to the door and go away with proximity, I would imagine. I pushed 'E' and they didn't work but I push space and then it works so maybe the controls are listed incorrectly or input needs some reworking inengine. It's a shame because the game is very polished visually but mechanically could use more work.

Great job, this is an amazing entry!

Thank you for the detailed feedback, I absolutely agree with everything. This is my first time creating dialogues in games. I worked too much on that system trying to figure it out.
Right now, you can talk once with vegetables, the scarecrow, and with animals. They should have much more to say but yeah... Time... Though, the barman and cocktail have several ways to interact. They could say more if you go in the fridge and come back, they will have dialogues to choose from. I wanted to make something like that for every character, but I bit off more than I could chew. Thanks to my friend who made all the models and animations, I think without him there would only be a shader and dialogues on paper  :)

Holy moly this game is beautiful! What an awesome shader you wrote. Especially inside the bar! What a cool world. I had the same issue as Snorkmi with the dialogue options being blank after a bit and carrots text box saying stuff like "this is dialogue text" but it was fantastic. You should 100% continue developing this game after the jam. Also, fantastic cast of characters your chose.

Thank you very much, I didn’t have time to correct the bugs and “this is dialogue text” just killed me, hilarious! Glad you liked it, my favorite character is Mole, I wrote some funny dialogues for him, but didn’t put them in the game:)

Very unusual noir style and noir soundtrack. I really like games of this style with noir elements. Nice dialogues and characters. The only thing is that it seemed to me that the game does not fit the theme a little, but at the same time it fits perfectly with the optional mechanics. Good job.

Thank you! I planned to make a few scenes with a colorful shader in the morning, but I didn't have time to properly implement it into the game.

I LOVE the graphics. It's so unique and interesting! Just a bit of a shame that it makes the game a bit hard to control, with all the angle/camera movement and all. And I'm unsure if it's a bug, but at a certain point everyone's text became blank, so I couldn't proceed :( I'd really love to see how it's concluded though! -Hon

Thank you for your honest feedback, we didn't have enough time to bring the game to the planned state, for example, I wrote more dialogues, but did not have time to add them to the game. Though, I'm glad you liked the graphics, that's where the most effort was put :)
Maybe we'll finish story later!
