Cute game and the writing was great, I immediately felt like the Mayor was sus and the next second the game agreed with me- that was great! The quicktime events were really surprising for me, so maybe consider adding a quick tutorial when the player first encounters them. Overall excellent submission!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for sharing the episode, it was nice to read that the story has engaged you :D

Regarding the quicktime events, do you refer to the tea-blending minigame? If so, the tutorial should have appeared on the screen, but if that's not the case we might have some bug-fixing to do ^^"
In any case, thanks a lot for the feedback, we really appreciated it!

Very cozy and… unusual experience. The art is magnificent. Also, after you finished it, the game leaves a long lasting aftertaste. I like it. Although, I wish I had more opportunities to make blends. And also to discover the story a bit more.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot, Wandering Peak! We're happy that you liked the atmosphere and the experience :)
As you can imagine, the story was much bigger in our original plans, but jam games are always a compromise between what you want and what you have time to do ^^ We still hope to expand it a little bit more, though, and it's nice to know that this first attempt has interested you!

Great game! Charming story, really stunning art and character design! I just wish there would be a gamemode to make more tea, this mechanic is really satisfying! Keep it up, guys, you did awesome!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!! I'm glad you liked theminigame so much you'd like to see it more and intentionally! :D

Nice work! The game made me crave tea and experimenting with blends was fun. Well done!

Nice work -- this game absolutely makes you want to make some tea.  I liked your concept of the tea preparation, which I really wanted to do well in.   I tried several approaches -- (1) just using one ingredient that had the requested flavor, (2) using the requested flavor and a few others I thought might go well, (3) just throwing a bunch of stuff in to get +points for my timing -- and then tried to get the temp right when the timer ran out...and I always got a bad review, haha.  I'm hoping that you designed the game to give positive results to those who can actually blend teas well (which I can't), and that this game just exposed me as the tea fraud I am.  A 'retry' option or practice area would have been nice -- after one complete play of the game, I restarted several times and zoomed through the text to try to get my tea right.  Nice work on this!

Thanks a lot for the detailed and kind feedback, it's really appreciated!

I think you're right: with only one attempt, the tea mini-game might be a bit unfair. We will definitely consider a "retry" option, or maybe let the difficulty increase gradually. At the moment, you obtain a good review if you manage to get at least 10 points; we though it was a good threshold, but in fact we had no playtesters to confirm that! I'm sorry that you had to be the one, but I hope at least that it didn't spoil the game experience!

Also, the "practice area" (a sort of endless tea-blending sandbox) is a great idea! Maybe in the future we'll add it, who knows :)

Thanks again for your precious comment, we're glad you liked the game! ^^

I'm the kind of person who can't let it go, so I came back to play again, armed with the 10-point knowledge.  But once I got to the first tea scene I discovered that the instructions already told me exactly how the game worked, so you were very patient with me in your reply to my comment, thank you!  It took me two or three tries, and I had to refine my technique to put two ingredients in at a time, but I finally did it -- the mayor liked it :).  Great job on this!

Aw thank you! <3

Loved the art, and agree with others that I'm in the mood for a warm cup of tea. I don't play a lot of visual novels, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the kind feedback, gammagoat! It's nice to know that you enjoyed it even if it's not your genre: it was our first attempt with a visual novel, so it means a lot for us! :D

Lovely graphics, the writing is charming and funny. I felt perfectly cozy while I was playing. I am blown away at the quality of this entry and would love to see this ever get expanded. Some minor spelling errors. I like the visual novel gameplay Would be nice to have an option to adjust the volume. Having a short introduction showing controls and how to play would help in making this even more polished. When I first introduced myself to someone I could have lied about who I was which I'm not sure the intention or reason why I would want to lie to this person. But then the decision is a false one, which is fine. It introduces future dialogue choice mechanics without having any consequences for your actions during these beginning moments.

Wow! It's really rewarding to hear your comment about the quality of our entry and that you'd like to see it expanded some more! I am extremely happy about this.

I'm glad you liked the writing style! I'm sorry about the spelling errors 😨. I thought we'd caught them all ^-^"

A very cozy game with a pleasant soundtrack and a сute visual style. The game feels very neat and polished. As someone wrote below, I felt the urge to grab a cup of tea while playing this game. Great job guys.

such a cozy game, I ended up grabbing myself a cup of tea while playing

Developer(+2)

Thanks WisteriaGames, it's nice to know that the coziness was received ^^

I just hope your tea didn't contain any mushroom or strange ingredients ;)

Love the art for this! Great scenery and character designs. I loved the cozy feel of the tea shop especially.

Thanks a lot, TheDigitalDauber, for trying our game! We're happy you liked it :)

I really like the art style! Very cool looking and good polish! One small change I would suggest would just be having some kind of music on the title screen so I can know how loud the music is going to be, as I left the music slider the normal value on playing, and it was very very loud, so I had to just reload the game and try again. Other than that I love the look and feel of the game!

Hi RaceAceTM, thanks a lor for your feedback! I'm happy that you liked our little game; we tried to focus on building the atmosphere through visuals and narrative, and it's nice to hear that somehow it worked out :D

The music in the title screen is a good suggestion, especially for improving accessibility! We didn't think of that, so thanks for pointing that out :)
