Thanks for your feedback. In fact, half of what you said should have been in the game by default, but was not implemented due to lack of time (such as the lack of some sounds, companion animations, normal button texture). As for the controls, I will add a feature to customize the controls when the evaluation period is over. Thank you very much again for such a detailed review, I really appreciate it. I will definitely take all your notes into account when finalizing the game.
I liked the idea. The visual style was also good. In general, the game as a whole felt very polished and neat. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of music. Everything was fine in the menu, it was there, but during the game there were only sounds, no music. Overall this is a great project. Well done guys.
So cute :) The game definitely has its own magical atmosphere. You conveyed it very well. The visual style is also cool, everything looks neat. But still there is something to work on. For example, character’s hitbox. It seemed to me that it was somehow poorly configured, because sometimes it was difficult to jump onto different platforms. It would also be possible to add more different sounds. Overall this is a great piece of work that can be developed further. Great job.
I like your idea. But there is certainly something to work on. The character physics felt a bit challenging. I pressed the move button a little and that’s it, the character is already falling from the platform. The hook also felt a little strange, when I clung to something the character for some reason was thrown to the right side. Overall the idea is good, but the implementation needs some work. I would like to point out the cool references to GLaDOS in the script.
Thanks for your feedback. To tell you the truth, I got a little inspiration from the idea of other developers I was in another game jam with. If you’re interested, here’s their game (they took 2nd place).
How I love games of this type. Where you don’t have to do anything, but just enjoy. There was no music in the game, so I played mine in the background, it was amazing. I think some kind of underwater ambient could be added here, as well as something like sleep music. I think if the game was further improved, for example, adding music, more fish, making more different special effects (the glare of the sun floating past all sorts of sea dust), adding different underwater plants etc., this game could be published on Steam. I would really pay for it. I hope you continue to work on the game. And thank you for making games like this.
