Super cute game. I love how the colors and the music change as you progress. The dialog was a bit long, but it was very enjoyable. Great job.
I thought the sweater was a phone when I first saw it.

The game came out cool, but the chapter of the game with holes, I did not understand where to go, if the hole would have saved, I would have passed, but no, the dialogue for me, it was too much
Playing this game was a...great reward. Loved it! Felt like it could legitimately be a Gameboy game. Sadly, I did not have the patience to finish the gopher hole section. I will have to revisit later because I need to finish this! Excellent work
This game made my heart happy, the art was awesome and the little character animations are perhaps my favorite ever. The music was also so good, I might have to add that night time theme to my playlist!
I will agree that the game was a little trial and error-y at times, and sometimes the dialogue dragged a BIT, but the overall vibe was so immaculate I couldn't put it down! Plus, luckily for me, I have a penchant for remembering directions and love slide puzzles ;^)
Awesome entry, definitely one of the most feel-good and perhaps the best interpretation of theme I've seen so far!

As every child know, cats go mow.
The game is charming and pretty but the final part is just an exercise in frustration and I just couldn't bring myself to finish it event though the great prize was awaiting.
Also the dialogue bubbles closing and then immediately re-opening mid-dialogue was a bit confusing at the start.
Cats do indeed go mow.
Thanks for the kind words. Sorry about the gophers :(
we didn't intend for them to be quite so frustrating and this is something we may look at updating after the jam. We were also using the 'one room mechanic' secondary theme which unfortunately (because of engine limitations) didn't allow for us to keep all the pitfalls on screen after being activated.
We really appreciate the feedback and thanks so much for playing!
Just fantastic! The reward at the end is very rewarding and I really enjoyed the character dialogue :)
This game is remarkably polished! I loved it so so much... until the gopher sinkhole section which almost made me ragequit. The end was mostly worth it, but I have never swore so much at a game jam game... lolol
But anyway. The art was beautiful, the music was perfect, and Stanley was a wonderful host. Overall this is definitely one of the best jam games I've played thus far. Just... UGH those gophers!
Nice game. The dialogue had good humor in it (with a side of interesting facts!).
Your game looks and feels amazing! I love the artstyle and chats with the scarecrow, also the sun setting a little bit more after each chapter was a very nice touch.
The controls sometimes feel a little bit stiff (but I think thats almost always the case with gb studio) and I think in the end there might be horses or something like that missing in front of the hay ride.
Other than that awesome job! Really enjoyed this one.
Highly rated. Man I love that GB studio. Gonna have to download it and mess around soon. The game is str8 out of that time period so its got the good and bad. Overall great game and idea. I enjoyed the mini puzzles per section. While I enjoyed the quips from the scarecrow I felt like there was a lot of text to read through. Overall though great stuff here!
