Great game! Guess I'm not the only one who is younger than 14. :)

I played this both on mobile and on my laptop, and it was honestly more challenging than it looks. I like that you need to drink and eat food, as well as fighting.

The snakes—especially the big snake boss—were the hardest enemies for me. I eventually beat the boss by going straight for it early and using the sword, which felt really satisfying. I really like how the snakes actively chase you, and with the slithering animation it adds tension and keeps you moving. In comparison, some enemies that stay still or move back and forth are easier to deal with using the gun, which creates a nice difficulty balance and good target practice.

The controls take a bit of getting used to on mobile, but once you adjust, it’s totally playable—and I appreciate that mobile support is included at all. That’s a big plus.

All the animals look great against the beautiful background, I especially like that the bosses are larger, more intimidating versions of regular enemies—it makes them feel important, which they are as they stole your chicken eggs and you need get them back.

The game clearly fits the Chicken theme and shows a lot of effort, ambition and skill. Some really nice details like the clock and guiding arrow. The music is very fitting and pleasant to listen to as well, I did test the mute button and it works but there seems to be some delay at least on my mobile when turning sound back which you might want to look at. Overall, this is very good. Keep making games!

Well done. You are young so you did well and also you tried to add lots of things in the game.

You can keep this game base and change the theme if you like to something else and make a better use of the stats that the player has.

Keep going, you won already a prize in this competition, you made a very good experience and improved your skills and this is what the game jams are for.

I hope your situation will improve over there. The ones that decide to make wars, never go in the frontline, that's why wars are keep happening. A good wish for peace and a successful future as game developer!

I'm impressed by the level of depth you put into the game! The UI and visuals could use some work. Still, you have a brilliant future in game development ahead of you!^^ :D

I found all the eggs and saved my baby chicks! Good variation in enemy types and fun to eat cake every once in a while 👍

Developer

Thanks! Your game is also very good! How did you do the art?

At your age and given the conditions under which you created this game, I can only applaud and encourage you.

Even though it didn't really help me, I really enjoyed being able to eat and drink. It made me grow attached to that little chicken.

The snake rushing at me gave me a fright the first time! (But I did manage to get rid of it in the end.)

And those pesky hedgehogs gave me a hard time.

In short, I had a great time playing this game. Well done :)

Overworld sprites and animations (hedgehogs, chicken, snakes, weapons, the arrow pointing to the boss and specially the trees) were very pretty and cute!

The map is confusing, downside UI is good but upwards UI is hard to read. Map looks a bit too big for the sprites sizes. It's also hard to pick up the items since it's not clear where you have to point with the cursor.

Developer

Thanks for the comment! I'll take that into account next time.

I like the music and the logo. Game was a bit confusing, lots going on with a timer, eggs, bars and icons, must have been a lot of programming events, It has some potential if stripped back. Good effort.

Developer

A big thank you!

I don't know, the fact that we constantly have to fight big bosses in the open world reminds me of Elden Ring in some way

Developer

It's okay, but kind of buggy, very visually cluttered, and a bit confusing to play.
