Wow what a great idea! I'm terrible at it ... of course ... but it still was really fun to play.  You are onto something here with the game.  Also, the sounds and smooth movements were great.  Very polished game.

Super cool idea, fantastic idea. You did a great job with the level. It was very challenging but I could tell how you placed items that helped me "true up" the characters. Only suggestion I would have was a mode that let the player keep the fruit they had already gotten because it was such a challenge. Gameplay, animation and sound were all perfect!

Very fun! Kind of forces your eyes to stare through the screen to keep track of both, interesting sensation! But yeah some sort of checkpoints and smoother camera movement would have been nice ^^'

Developer

Thanks for playing. You think I should slow down the camera movement when following the characters?

Submitted

yeah going offscreen was just a bit confusing. Maybe skip the moving camera alltogether, and make a sequence of levels instead?

Holy crap this is hard! Took me a few tries until I even realized how to get the first berry. Then I had my "ah ha" moment.  Really cool concept and game design! I tip my hat to you!

Also, kudos on the catchy background music.

Developer

Thanks a lot! Yeah this game would need some tutorial to explain the basics but I thought a more advanced level would be more fun to play with eheh Thanks for playing

A bit too hard to control but overall its a nice game

Developer

Thanks! What do you think I could improve in terms of controllers?

Submitted

More like a snappy, that the player wont move after you dont press the button.

Amazingly clever and deceptively hard.

This is such a cool and well-designed game-- it really threw me for a loop! It was challenging, visually interesting and incredibly smart design. Very impressive!

Developer

Thanks a lot for your review! I’m really glad you enjoyed it :D

Fantastic idea that is instantly fun and Very FRUSTRATING haha. Takes a lot of thought before even making the first move. Will have to 100% come back to this but it is great. Plays great, looks reat. Nice catchy tune. What is there not to love.

Developer

Thanks a lot! I’ll surely update it to create a more easier progression to get started with. You need to come back for sure.

It always amuses me when I have to control two entities making the most simplest of challenges like collecting that sweet sweet apple and them bananas so challenging and trippy. :D

Developer

Thanks! Really glad it was a good experience

The art/music and concept were great enough for me to keep trying long after I would normally get frustrated, but alas I am not great at platformers were I have to control one characters. Let alone two. I only managed 1 apple and 1 banana.

Developer

Cool! Good sign that it kept you going way long than expected

I love the graphics and small animations! The concept is nice, but there might be too much difficulty as the start. Maybe make the first section a bit easier to understand the basics and not be able to die. Overall, nice job!

Developer

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I just wanted to show the potential of the game, but maybe I went overboard with it lol

Any game that uses shared movement is automatically interesting to me. There's just so much opportunity for puzzles. Doing it for a platformer is a real challenge. I have to admit I only ever got one fruit for each character. Having to restart completely after a fail was the real back breaker though.

I think there's probably an opportunity to introduce a more gradual level/difficulty curve for this game. More clearly telegraph the patterns the player needs to learn to move forward before testing those skills.

The polish, art, and audio are all great here. Super well done for a jam game. It makes the whole package a lot more enjoyable despite the (intentionally?) frustrating gameplay. Well done!

Congrats on finishing this for a jam!

Thanks a lot for your feedback.

Yeah restarting the level is really frustrating, I still considered implementing a sort of checkpoints but didn’t had time to finish it.

I also thought about making an easier version, sort of a very first level, but I thought that it wouldn’t show the potential of the game.

I’m probably still gonna edit the game in the following days.

Thanks once again and I’m glad you like it.

The character moves a little badly, but it's a funny game

Developer

Thanks! What do you think I could improve in the character movement?

the collisions , add coyote time, and use other techniques to make controlling the character feel good

Developer

cool, thanks. Will think about it while I develop the game further.

Super fun game! Love the concept of having to control two players and avoiding dangerous at the same time

Developer

Thanks! :D
