- Really enjoyed the story of the game. The writing, art, and music all came together to create a really great experience. However, the gameplay feels a little underdeveloped, and the checkpoints are pretty brutal. But overall, I think it’s a great game and experience.
- A very sweet game! A lot of text at the beginning could have been shortened while conveying the same message, and early platforming could have been more engaging (ex: instead of jumping up the mountain linearly and awkwardly hitting each level, maybe just traditional platforming jumps!) That being said, very sweet story and a nice emotional take on the theme.
- I wish the controls were more fluid and responsive to make the game more enjoyable. Otherwise, I feel like this is a gem in terms of atmosphere/story. If it were polished and fleshed out more, I would definitely buy this as a game. Loved the in-game dialogue as well!

Hi, I'm hedge one of your judges! Played at https://twitch.tv/hedge_in at 2:49:00 <3 (Part 2)
Just checked it out now, thanks for the feedback!
I've watched a few people play now, and it's clear to me that I've fallen into the age-old habit of assuming something is too easy because I—as the developer can complete it easily, resulting in me making overly convoluded and difficult to read platforming puzzles, such as the one you called it quits on.
You mentioned you felt you were fighting the controls throughout the session —I imagine mostly in regards to the high-jump mechanic and the unforgivng stamina? In any case, I imagine it'd make a lot more sense if I were to implement the high jump as a stationary "crouch jump", instead of forcing the player to have to dash with such little room on the platforms, and tripled or quadrupled the stamina while slightly reducing the recovery speed.
Love the vibes and the story, but tabbing out for too long crashes the game. I didn't manage to beat the cave in, so I was wondering how much game I was missing beyond that point. If it's helpful, here's a screenshot of the important looking part of the error.
I really like how the characters just converse through the game and even feel like they're reacting to some things, and I like how Sash (that was their name right?) mimics your movement. It all makes it feel quite alive. (Also one time I managed to triggered the elevator dialogue while I was in the elevator and Sash wasn't which was goofy). Anyway gg!
Edit: Forgot to mention the music rocks!
(ps: my other edit was literally just changing 'gg' to 'gg!')
Thanks for the feedback! The cave-in section is essentially the end of the game, aside from an incomplete area marked "To be continued".
From what I can gather from the error code you posted, my best assumption is that it may be a hardware or browser error —though I'm not well versed in troubleshooting web-builds, so can't say for sure. In any case, any attempts at reproducing the bug on my device have been inconclusive.
Interesting graphics and an intriguing story, but non-skippable dialogues are not a very good implementation for a gamejam.
Thanks for the feedback! Controls for skipping/speeding through dialogue are in the description, though it’d be more intuitive to have them in-game – point.
Poetic and relaxing! I’m not a huge fan of plate-former but the dialogs and the music made it all. Also I love how the other character is following the player. Nice art for the ruins and the background too!
This is really hard! It's good, though. Dialogue, spritework, audio are all well done. The balancing is where my issue is. The platforming is very difficult very fast, and the cave-in being over a minute long and completely restarting if you mess up a dash-jump input is tough. I'm really impressed how polished this is, though. Reminiscent of Celeste.
Hi Thanks for the feedback!
I get what you mean about the platforming balancing. I defitely ended up rushing the level design, and having to condense too many challenges into too small of an area.
I mostly enjoyed the game, i think the story and cut-scenes were a good addition and well made. However I think reduce the dialog amount when platforming as i couldn't read it while jumping around. Also a more consistent art style would have been good, tile set seems higher detailed than everything else for example, a bit distracting. Over all a job well done.
Nice ambiance, nice art, nice music.
The jumping and dash could have been a little more polished, but I see that you were going more for ambiance and story telling, so I'll accept that.
Nice game! Good job!
This game is very well made, I agree on being able to skip dialogs when you're standing still, but the narrative is charming.
I got to the cave part but it was very difficult mostly because the high jump inputs, it's a bit hard to perform well consistently.
The art is beautiful, congratulations!
Also, I noticed the particles after the rocks touch the ground, really nice detail.
Hi, thanks for the feedback!
Though it's not explained in-game, you can press x or esc to skip the typing animation and close the dialogue boxes early!
I had the same feedback regarding high-jimps from a playtester, and that was back when it was even harder to time. I'll definitely have to find some way to rework this.
I was having a lot of fun but then I got stuck for a bug and probably they will remain floating forever (I guess this is the bad ending)
Another thing that I wanted to say is that I love the musics! A problem is that sometimes the text exits the screen (I dont' know if it's a my problem or if it's a problem of the game)
Hi, thanks for the feedback! Yes, I noticed this issue after submitting. I must have missed it in testing because I was skipping all the dialogue!
Oh no! You used to be able to dash out of this, but then I disabled dash for this portion of the game!
Wow. Really awesome visuals and music! My only complaint is that the text moves soooo slow and I had a difficult time wanting to stay engaged. But I do have ADHD so take it with a grain of salt.
