  • Really clever and interesting mechanic. Made for some good puzzles! Also very polished art
  • The game feels really polished and well made, and I think the concept is really smart. I think there is some room to polish the level design as it did feel fairly easy to abuse the echo mechanic to brute force the levels, and I definitely beat some levels without knowing the proper solution. But other than that, I don’t have much to say, nice work!
  • The cutest art ever!! I love this idea, though it wasn't the most fun standing and waiting for your timer haha while standing in one place to plot forth on a level. Super cool idea though and executed very polished!
  • Insanely fun and such a unique take on the theme, I love it! Visually really great too :)

How does the game fit into the theme?
EchoSqueak is a time manipulation game where the player never goes back in time, Guide a lab rat through a dangerous lab using echoes of your past to move forward 🐀✨

I tried to do something different with the theme so I made a time manipulation game where you never actually go back in time. The echoes always retrace your steps moving foward in time and allowing you to progress.

What premade assets did you use if any?
Music and Sound Effects, I used royalty-free music from Abstraction, which I plan to replace in the future

Amazing game, I love the visuals! Really simple and pleasing to the eyes, everything fits together so nicely! The music is also very good and catchy, straight forward gameplay and incredibly fun!

Got stuck on the last level for awhile, but eventually I managed to get through it! Overall 10/10 game!

Awesome! feels proper smooth and nice gameplay!

It's the coolest idea, the main thing is that there are quite a lot of solutions. The graphics are also excellent

Dayum!!! I loved this game! Especially the last level really had me questioning my IQ for a second there xD! Amazing!

Thank you!! :D

That last level was really clever! Loved the art. So satisfying when the mouse gets to eat the cheese.

SMASHING!

Wonderful! I really had fun, the mechanics and interpretation of the theme are the most original I've seen in the jam. Also, the polish of the art, controls and music is excellent. The only bad thing is that it's very short, I was left wanting to see more levels with a good design.

Excellent work!! :D

Such a nice artstyle and cozy music, extradordinary game, especially for being made in such a short time. As a small critique, a few of the levels seemed to be possible by just "recording" the clone standing on the button and nothing more. The last level was really clever though and played with the mechanics nicely!

wow just WOW this game is perfect in every way! I could see a full game with this mechanic. Very good job omg, my personal favourite of the jam!

veeery very polished! its incredibly well made in every aspect omg, i only wish it was more CONCRETE in the theme because the way you represented it is veery creative, but still a wonderful game

Holy smokes that’s a well made game. My only gripe is that I didn’t know wall jumping was a thing, but other than that, that was a really fun puzzler to figure out. Excited for when you make more of this!

This is one of the most polished games I've played yet! The art style is amazing, and I really liked how mechanics were introduced slowly and pushed the player to think about how to use it on further levels.

I would have liked to know that wall jumping was possible inside of the how to play section after I got stuck not knowing the character was able to wall jump and even though I made it to the end I don't believe I did the intended method for many of the puzzles, like am I supposed to glitch the box through the echo so I don't  get hit by the spikes?

Really great gameplay, but I don't see how it fits the theme so (might just be me). Really nice art style and core mechanic and great level design that expands upon that mechanic.

10/10 gameplay I just wish the theme was taken more into account. Great job regardless!

Everything was perfect, nothing much to add. The core mechanic is quite creative and the levels were really clever. Presentation is also good, looks super well polished. Excellent job on this entry!

Love the game!

Some people said they got stuck in the level with the button that activates spikes, and I was too, for a little while, but it is possible, guys!!! Just give it a few minutes of thinking, and you'll get it. It is the challenge the level is supposed to be, right on ;)

Loved the creative interpretation on the theme and your execution was amazing. Loved the puzzles, especially the last level mechanic was a really nice pinnacle to the whole sequence of levels.

Don’t really have anything to add other than I think you have a wonderful foundation to build upon if you wanted to carry it further. Graphics, audio, puzzles, everything felt really good to me!
