I've always wanted to experience playing a shotgun crocodile, thank you for making this happen! nice sub :D
Hello! ๐
Overall: โจ Very neat music and engaging gameplay. Great job on the submission!
Fun: ๐ The timer for timing playthroughs was a neat feature, perfect for speedrun attempts. The obstacles added interesting interactions, though I think if enemies die, the bullets should not all instantly despawn.
Visual: ๐จ The visuals were fitting for this pixel game. The main character had nice animations, especially the spinning weapon animation with the hand position changing, that was a neat touch. However, the player stuttering while moving was noticeable.
Audio: ๐ถ The music was relaxing yet upbeat, fitting well with the playthrough. It enhanced the overall experience.
Theme: ๐ The theme implementation was not clear to me.
Other feedback: The player stuttering might be fixed by either interpolating the player's Rigidbody or making the Cinemachine camera update in Smart/Fixed Update. Loved the Mario-style death animation—it added a fun touch.
Great job overall! ๐
I like the music/sound and how the game looks and feels! Personally, I felt that fighting the enemies felt like waiting rather than really fighting them - they have a lot of HP, and the way that the player deals with their patterns is repetitive. But I like what you did with the boss - the patterns were fun!
Yeah, it was tough for me to try and balance the health and the challenge of the game. Originally, the enemies had even more health than that! Thanks for playing, hope you enjoyed!
This was fun! Definitely tough! Some health pickups would have been nice, especially before the boss!
Thank you! I like to intentionally design my games to be extra challenging. I did do a 50% health refill before the boss, but maybe it was bugged for you? Thanks for playing though!
I love the idea! Personally, I would have preferred if the hitboxes were more forgiving towards the player. It felt like I should be dodging some of the bullets that ended up hitting me. Otherwise, great job!
I tried to be, but clearly with what I've heard from friends was that it is not forgiving enough. I think I made hitboxes for a specific animation, so for other directions it's just wrong. Thanks for playing!
To run, download the zip folder, unzip it, and then run the .exe file. Hope you enjoy! :)
