Ranked from 40 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
In the game, once you reach the goal, you will replay the level with new additions. This means that reaching "an end" will lead to "a new beginning". It's not a different beginning, but a new one, because it's not completely different from the old beginning. That explains the time rewind feature.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
1. Scripts: Yes
2. Sprites: Yes (They are just basic shapes)
3. Sound effects: Yes (I did use this free sound effect: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBwkGx8uWT4)
4. Background music: Yes (That's why I added an option to turn off music)

Really simple and dynamic platformer! Glad to record time for speedruns, my score is 34.09 seconds)

Honestly I think the game lacks complexity, but overall it's good

I loved the controls of the game feels very sharp and it was fun to play :)

It's pretty fun, the platforming is very precise but the controls feel very responsive to make up for it

This entry was really fun and especially addictive.  It's got that "just one more try" magic.

I don't play a ton of platformers but I found it very funny and entertaining that I could jump off of the air.  The platforms are kept relevant by the fact that jumps off of them work much better; I found that mechanic fun.

I don't think it's particularly on-theme; I cannot tell what's different per-run.  If you switch it to  'Gamer' mode (because there's so little room for error) it becomes very apparent that the platforms and enemies are in the same places every time.  So, endings are not beginnings in any way that they are not in a normal arcade game with levels and one life.

One last thing I'll say is that in game jams, menus often fall by the wayside - there's just not time for them - and so I particularly admire this entry for having easy-to-use, complete menus at start and on pause!

Thanks for the detailed feedback bro!

Definitely kept me wanting to keep trying!

cool idea just i felt the ai was too good at killing you

Actually a lot of fun! It was short but thats perfectly okay for a game jam and I did really enjoy it! with more levels it would be great! The only negative I had is that you should make the music play continuously and not start over after passing a level

Developer

Actually the music only start over when you die, since when you pass a level the music will just pause and then resume at the same spot. Thanks for playing anyways!

Game is too easy. Fun to play anyway

Developer

Hard and Gamer difficulty exists man.

Fun little speedrunning game. The polish touches such as the screen looking like an old monitor was great and was fun to try to get past the new obstacles that came up. managed to get a sub 20 seconds time on my second attempt. The bloom was very strong so glad you put a way to turn it off and the music complimented the gameplay nicely (although the sound effect from completing a level was a bit too loud compared to it)

Developer

Thanks for the detailed feedback man, yours is a really good example of a real feedback!

For some reason, the exe file you provided does not work. Am I missing something?

Developer

Maybe try to look up the error? Btw I used Godot 3.5.1 stable to make this game, with GLES 3.0 graphics, V-Sync disabled, rcedit enabled and used GDScript, if you need any further information.

Thanks for the detailed response but I am still unable to get the game to work, my PC just lags out for 5 minutes.

Good job. Keep it up.
