You get fake radio messages.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and models made by myself, sounds were taken from freesound.org and some textures were made by me and some were real life photos that i edited out.

Yo this slaps.

Though, I could use help with the controls. I didn't find out about the keyboard till the very last part when it requested my location.

Really well done, especially considering the time constraint. Atmospheric, and fun in a "Papers, Please" kind of way. My only issue is that it took me a few tries to figure out how to interact with everything, which frustrated me a bit. I would have liked a little bit more explanation in the beginning. Overall, though, tremendous work.

Really nice game, love it! The graphics are awesome, it's amazing to see what you managed to pull off in one week, great job!

Maybe the theme needs a little more touch but other than that, great experience. Congrats!

I would love to have you playing mine too, if you don't mind of course! ^_^

Man taking away my note of trusted codes on the second day was evil LOL.

It took me a bit to realize  I was supposed to type my own code in if I'm broadcasting a trusted guy. Took me another bit to find the note with the trusted code list. I restarted the first day a few times until I figured it out cause I felt like I was messing everything up.

Very immersive game!

Take a look at mine if you're interested :3 Rate In The Dark by BirdCat Nate, AstronomicalZ, Cristian for Brackeys Game Jam 2022.1 - itch.io

Loved the atmosphere created in your game, I felt like I could've been jumped by The Thing any second I was watching the monitor. The game was also pretty immersive through its gameplay of manipulating the knobs and buttons of the radio station. I had one issue though where for some reason the game kept having my mouselook by dragged to the bottom right of the screen so I had to keep fighting the camera as I played. I played in-browser if that provides any help. Anyways, I really liked your game, it was an eerily anxious story in the arctic!

Thank you! Were you using Firefox as your browser? I noticed the same, but it only happened in this specific browser, others worked fine

I was using Firefox, thanks for the help!

Loved the atmosphere and the snowy sfx on the background, I really felt immerse in the game. Loved the moment when you go to bed and hear some footsteps approaching and the next day you realize someone has stolen the codes. Liked the tiny psychological horror moment when reading some messages broadcasted, or when someone starts knocking at the door.

The only suggestion I can make is on the snowy background sfx, it felt really obvious when it started looping again and broke my immersion a tiny bit. It also felt a bit tedious when messages with very high or low frequencies appeared on the computer because I had to spend awhile turning the knob.

What a shame that the exit door was interactable from the beginning of the game. Nonetheless, I enjoyed a lot this game, top marks!

Thank you! I'm not familiar with any sound editing tool, but i'll make sure learn more about until the next jam happens.

I liked the creepy sounds. It's a bit boring waiting for messages but its okay.

Thanks for playing!

I liked this one a lot. Mainly the atmosphere which felt creepy and alone. I was thinking the entire time about what was fake or real and it unnerved me reading a few of the messages. Felt a little slow waiting for each message but it did not feel tedious. Overall I liked it.

Thank you! I was planning on adding way more to the game, but because of real life things, i had to cut down a lot of the features that i was planning on adding. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The game has an interesting atmosphere. Feels a bit like Papers Please to me, which is a good thing. But it feels too slow for me though.
