How does you game fit the theme?
Spectral Adventure is a 2D platformer with unreal objects and enemies. You must use the Ghost to distinguish between the real and the unreal and you must use Twiggy to fight the enemies.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I did the programming, level design, UI design.
I used art assets for characters and environment as well as audio assets for background music and sound effects. All of these assets are credited both inside the game and in the itch webpage.

Cool switching mechanic! Thought it was interesting that the ghost was used to get over larger jumps as well as see which items are fake. If you continue to develop this I would add checkpoints after some of the difficult glide jumps at the beginning just so it's a bit more forgiving when the player is learning the core mechanics. Nice submission!
Interesting idea. It felt like the jumps were set too large to bypass (with bombs in the way) so you had to switch to the ghost midair. A bit awkward like others mentioned. The hitboxes are also quite unforgiving with such a floaty character. Hoping to see the post-jam version come out soon!
Cool swapping mechanic. Thought it a little awkward to switch between the two characters at first, but once I got a hang of it, it was fun to use. Good use of assets; the game has a fun visual style. The jump feels good, too.
I think the game would benefit from having more sound effects. Aside from jumping, picking up coins, and the background music, the game is mostly silent. Having sounds for jumping on enemies, switching between the characters, and falling in a pit, for example, would add a lot.

Fun little platformer kinda makes me wish there were more levels I feel like I only played two tutorials and whats there already works so a couple more levels with what its already in there would have been cool, I liked the changing between the girl and the ghost in a few areas i found myself doing some nice changing between both to kill enemies.
Fun game just missing more levels
I really like the idea, but the ghost-mode being toggled by the X button makes it really annoying to play (at least for me). I think it would have been amazing if holding the shift key or a mouse button (or the space button after jumping kind of like a glide) had turned you into a ghost. But with that said, the art is really good and the sounds are nice.
Thanks for playing the game! In the post-jam update, you will be able to switch characters using j or shift buttons.
It's great, I love the graphics and the dynamics
very solid game, the art is pretty cute and the controls overall feels nice to play.
my only nitpicks is that the x key wasn't very ergonomic on my keyboard, and for a game hard like this you really need a quick restart button and maybe some checkpoints.
Lovely art and a fun concept! I would say the hitbox for the fake stuff is probably a bit too big, felt like I could accidently lose too easily. Good work though - appreciated the coyote time.

I absolutely love the floating mechanic/switch.
A bit hard for my likings, but good nontheless. Had a few issues with skeleton hitboxes.
Very good game! The art, the audio, and the idea is very cool. However, you should probably fine tune the movement, hitboxes, and the sprite animation of the fake coins.

I really like the concept! Would have been great to have a checkpoint right before the first hard "jump" to get the key. Was very frustrating for me haha! Great art!
I love the graphics! Super cute! I love the concept of changing characters too! But it was waaay too hard for the first level :')
Really enjoyed the mechanics of switching back and forth to get through the level. It was kind of hard!

I really like your idea of having to switch between two characters and each serving a purpose that requires you to use both. Sadly though I wasn't able to get fairly far and I couldn't grab the key I needed to progress further. As others mentioned the first level should be there to help teach the player how to play the game with having little consequences. I'd recommend that you look at how other games like Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario 64 on how they approach designing the opening levels to their game. Overall though great job getting this done in time for the jam!
