Fabulous fun! The dialogue is super sharp and funny (I laughed a ton at "tongs"), and it's a great story. I'm also impressed with how many sets you built in just a week. The car's controls being reversed when you back up threw me for a loop, though. But I would absolutely play the next part to see how it turns out!

How does you game fit the theme?
Accident at Faux Pas is a Visual Novel game where you, a detective, are investigating a car accident that might not have been an accident at all. Keep playing until the end to reveal a twist that fits the theme.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Besides utility libraries like DOTween, Surge, Ink, all code was written by the team.
The majority of the graphical assets are from asset packs.
Music is 100% original.

great job, amazing ambience and cool car controls! congratulations guys!!
faux pas or Foe pass hahaha
great start with the novel, got interesting car mechanics but very nice use of the assets inside the game though!
Thanks for the review! We are not tired of positive reviews yet :D.
We appreciate everyone taking the time to play, rate and comment on the game! We used Ink to write the story, great tool. Someone on the team was dedicated to writing the whole story in the first few days. After that, it's just a lot of hours of work to test how the story unfolds. The story is split in multiple little parts that we could act on to add some camera work and such.
Cheers!
Dude that is a lot of text. You really put a lot of work into the story and cutscenes. With more time and a budget I think this could become a real good game with maybe decision trees and different endings. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the review! We had a team member dedicated to writing this pretty extensive story with branches. Lots of work from the whole team to keep the story coherent and add animations throughout. Tons of room to grow and, yes different endings is definitely considered for the sequel! (or an enhanced Definitive edition - Seems that's where the industry is heading these days :D )
Fun game! like the music, and definitely have to give some extra points for having a sweet muscle car in the game
Thank you for the feedback! We definitely had more gameplay planned for the driving sandboxes with different environments but we had to reduce scope a lot which left the driving part to only be a transition/change of pace from the dialogs. Some people do seem to enjoy it and we will definitely enhance that part if there's a sequel. We are totally thinking of at least one car chase ;)
Fun little detective game, i enjoyed it. Music gave it a film noir vibe, imo, which was neat. You guys really managed to pack a lot in here!
The driving is very good. I wouldn't mind if it gets more focus on future updates. The music is great too, but the is lacking some sound effects. Even simple humming from the characters can do wonders.
Overall, great work!
the car driving was so much fun!!!!! The dialog and animation was created SOOO well and looked so good!!! 10/10 It just took up a lot of time compared to the game play would be the only small critique
Actual dialogue simulator. I can see past the ocean--I knew the Earth was flat! Oh my goodness, the car is so fun and such a pain to drive at the same time. The ending-- oh, the ending...!
But oh boy... the moment I saw that you could run over traffic cones and trash cans. That moment... that was when I fell in love with this game. 11/10 will play the sequel
So I have to say this is INSANE! The dialogue system and the vehicle controller was butterly smooth! Excellent work!
This was awesome.. still shocked that you made this under 7 days. still am not sure how it follows the theme.
