I enjoyed this game -- I liked the art style and the general NES vibes, and the coins and player movements were well done. Nice!

How does you game fit the theme?
The Main mechanic in the game is the Player not knowing whether a coin/enemy is real or not when they look at it...
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I borrowed the music, background image, and TileSet.
Scripts, sound effects, main character and other art assets were made by me during the Jam time.

This was really addicting. The only bug was the players soul flying into oblivion when you died but tbh it was cool to watch. The UI was cut off a bit on my screen and it was a bit hard to notice but the game play was good! I was able to use a controller for the movement but I had to use my keyboard still to jump. The music was very pleasant. Great job!
Fun game! The overall atmosphere feels great and the art, music and sound effects fit really well together. I also like the tie in to the them with some of the coins not being real coins! Overall great job!
I enjoyed your game. When i saw the preview image i grabbed my controller, but it didn't work for this sadly. These kind of games are so much more fluid when played with a controller. The character felt to move on towards running direction for unintentionally long especially when one would want to quickly turn around and jump to other direction. It happened me about 5 times that i fell from these situations to the ground below or to death. I made it to level 8 which was pretty frustrating because of high camera and uncontrollable trambolins. I loved the enemy coins and fooling them to follow where it's easy for me to dodge them, good idea on those. Thanks for the small game you made!
Appreciate the feedback. Yea I haven't tried creating a game with controller support, maybe that's next... I wasn't overly happy with my Player Controller either and am spending some time afterwards trying to make it better.
Curious when you say high camera, do you mean you can't see what's below you?
I really enjoyed this. Interesting idea with balanced difficulty.
Very nicely executed :) This was a fun and enjoyable experience and one I think you should develop further. The style and play reminded me a bit of Super Meat Boy and Celeste. There were some bugs as far as not bouncing on the purple platforms, sometimes I would jump on them and just walk. I would suggest adding a volume setting too so players can control SFX, Music etc. volume settings. Overall very nice!
great work! the difficulty scaled up really smoothly and never felt unfair. loved the high jump sound effect xD nice interpretation of the theme as well, I had fun!
I like the pixel art and the mountain in the backround! The controls are a bit slow but overall good game!
I love the art style! I think the movement is a little too slow when you first move. Other than that the mechanics are cool and fun!
I really like the idea! I don't know the player player movement kinda being delayed was intentional but other than that I have not much to criticize, I like it. It was fun ^^
i like the idea and the way it was executed, but the pixelart sprites and painted background don't fit together at all and turning the player charakter felt weird because it was instant instead of sliding a little bit like you do when you stop or start moving
