Nice little game. The idea that you have to destroy platforms to score that could otherwise help you is pretty interesting. I like the music and sound, but the graphics are pretty bare-bones. I did like the look of the main character, though.
Biggest problem imo is that the game doesn't really get harder, and can be played indefinitely. Less platforms over time, faster lava speed or other traps would have helped.
Still an entertaining game for a while!

I love the idea of destroying platforms to score. The more you want to score the more it gets difficult. However I find the game somewhat easy when I spammed jump and platform creating button. Maybe adding enemies, vanishing platforms or even increasing lava speed may make it a bit difficult. Overall had fun playing the game. Good job.

Cool! I like the idea of having to destroy platforms to gain points, I would suggest maybe connecting the shoot and jump button together to make it simpler to control and more fast-paced.
also, if you spam the jump shoot and platform buttons you can basically go forever without any need to platform, so adding cooldowns could help keep it balanced.

I found myself spamming w up arrow and when I reach up enough that I will touch a platform and firee will not kill me is spammed ASD add a limit to the ammo or add reloading same goes to make new platform by W

Nice game! Reminds me a bit of Rainbow Islands. :) You could add more chaos by adding monsters. Currently I think the game is a bit too easy. Great music! Did you make it yourself?

I thought your take on an infinite climb was really creative and fresh! I had a lot of fun shooting platforms and soaring upwards.
I know that you're aware of a few of the bugs so I won't go into too much detail there. My biggest suggestion is to find a way to explain the core mechanic better in the tutorial. I knew that there was shooting but I didn't fully understand that you had to shoot the platforms. I think a small visual in your tutorial screen would have made a big difference.
I had a ton of fun shooting those damn platforms and hope that you continue to refine and improve this game because I think you have a phenomenal platformer. Great job :)

I noticed that there's a bug that makes triple-digit numbers not display correctly. Minor thing tho, as the game was really fun! Awesome job. :)

This was a really nice game. and the platforming mechanic was interesting. though i do have some problems with the Keybinding and and the shooting. i found out that you could spam W and Up and you could essentially zoom farther than the chaos can keep up. All in all it was a really good work.

A lot of fun! Other than being able to cheese the jumps by spamming W and up, the score doesnt seem to display correctly once you get into the triple digits. Good job!

Platformers can be so stale (and I say that as a lover of the genre). You jump on things and usually kill enemies. But with one simple tweak, THIS platformer feels super fresh. Because in this platformer, you jump on things and kill... those things. Its a fantastic idea. With a little more work after the jam implementing some extra ideas and mechanics, this could really shape up to be something great.

This is really fun and I loved the idea of shooting the platforms to gain score! The music was great and I enjoyed the visuals. There was a glitch where I could time pressing jump and then jump again. It only worked if I timed it just right, but it actually added to your game! I suggest turning that bug into a feature! It was very fun to zoom through the platforms and destroy platforms, but sometimes you wouldn't time the repeat jump right and would fall far. Awesome Work, I'm looking forward to see where this game goes!

So I'm gonna start by saying good job on getting this done and I love the concept of this game.
However... I was able to completely cheese the game by spamming jump and WASD. It was shooting platforms and creating a platform under me that I could always jump on. If I may suggest limiting the amount of platforms you can spawn in a certain amount of time. Or maybe making it so you have to jump on a red platform every time you make a blue one to make another.
I did love the idea of needing to destroy your platforms to get a score though. Great job.

Yes, I wanted to implement your second idea in project, the one with necessity to jump on red platform to create blue one, but knowing I wouldn't make it in time I decided to upload version without any limitation. After the jam I'll experiment what limitation gives the best result. Once again thanks for playing! :)
I really liked the CharacterDesigns and Color palette, the animations were smooth and the gameplay mechanics are fluid.
Only thing I'd like to see a tutorial level or atleast a practice level where the fire doesn't come immedieatly. I had to die on the first 2 platforms a lot of time just get in sync. Great game Though Highly Polished!!

Nice game. It took a few tries to get used to the controls, but I managed it and the gameplay felt nice. If you don't mind I have a few comments to make. 1. The wall of explosions (the "chaos") that is chasing you is a bit too slow and the player shouldn't be able to get too far away from it (give the "chaos" a speed boost when the player is really far away). I was able to get so far up, that the explosions weren't a threat anymore. 2. You shouldn't be able to shoot platforms that are not visible on the screen (or very far away). What I managed to do is to get really high up and just shoot downwards to get score. 3. The explosions animation doesn't get deleted after it finishes, so it stays there on the last frame.
Hope I wasn't too harsh :). Other than that I liked the characters sprite and controls, I like the idea that you get score by destroying platforms, which creates a dilemma, where you need to shoot them and use them to get up. Anyways, great job and keep creating :).

I'll definitly look into blocking shooting to platforms far away, or just specifying bullet's max distance. Explosion animation is another bug to fix on my "to do" list.
