In what way does your game fit the theme?
It hopefully evokes the chaos and turmoil that gravity can create with a lot of mass about.
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. All the coding was done by myself. All the artwork and assets for this project were also created by myself. I did rely on code that I've previously developed for some of the core systems, but this project and idea are new.

Nice game, having a minimap was great. If you improve the assets it would be great, sound design could be improved as well.
I once developed a similar game for another gamejam but I didn't published because I could not finished, but I think you could really benefit from this tutorial to have a starfield moving background.
Thanks for coming by. Yes, I have improved the assets and sound post-jam, but alas that upload will have to wait until the rating period closes. I think I like the overall concept enough to continue to dink with it. The starfield also didn't make the cut in time :( I'll check out the YouTube link, thanks.
Super cool game! The atmosphere was good, you really felt like you where in space. The minimap was also pretty useful. The screensize was too big though. Nice job!
Thanks for stopping by and the nice comments. Yeah, the screensize thing is a problem that didn't seem to reveal itself until other people started play it. Sorry 'bout that
Very cool little game. Simple but effective. The controls where are little difficult but I got the hang of it. I figured out that the was gravity on the planets when I got sucked into them. But really nice work keep it up.
Very nice little atmospheric game!
Very nice little atmospheric game! The controls were a bit tricky at first, but I think this because I did not notice I was accelerating and decelarating. Maybe if there were some stars in the background I could see that I was still moving and more easily gauge what my speed is. Also some effect that shows that my engine is working would have been helpful I think. Once I played a bit I got the hang of the controls though and it felt great!
Other than that I think the atmosphere was really well done. The stars looked big and dounting, as they should. The planets small, but pretty. Sometimes it was a bit hard to take off from a planet once I crashed, but that was a minor thing.
Great submission! I enjoyed it :D
This was a cool concept I liked to play.. The controls were hard but I guess thats the Game
Great Game!!! Kudos!!
cool. I once made something similar to this but never finished.
well design, good job

Interesting game! My problem is that the screen is a bit too big, making me have to zoom out. The controls is pretty neat, definitely having that "in space" feel with you needing to make big drifts, but it definitely is a bit hard to get the hang of. Still, a really solid and fun game! Nice work!
Thanks for checking it out! And thanks for the kind words.
Can I ask, what resolution are you running? You are not alone in pointing out display weirdness. I'd like to put some time into it and this would help me out.
While I do like the concept and the game was mostly enjoyable, I found it very difficult to control. When you run into something, it's very difficult to get away from it. There also seemed to be an issue when navigating to the edges, you stick to it and spring parallel to the edge.
Thanks for coming by. You are not alone in pointing out that tuning of the flight control systems are in order :) I agree. More tuning for gameplay enjoyability is definitely in order. Regarding the edge of the gameplay area, I wanted some boundary. I was never happy with the effect when hitting it, but the time to address it never came up.
Understandable. And if you're using inverse squared gravity, I would recommend just using linear gravity. Most games use it to create a more constant/predictable gravity field - even though it's not as realistic. Just a recommendation, of course. Keep up the good work!
Nice style, and a neat concept that could be expanded on. My only problems were the screen size being too big for the webpage, and the controls were kinda slippery. It's really hard to escape a planet's gravitational pull or change directions after getting some momentum
Thanks for that. That's interesting - what is your native resolution? I mentioned to anther person that I discovered that the display didn't scale as well as I thought it would and it certainly needs some attention. And yes, the ship controls needs some tuning. I was trying to decide about a max-velocity or not.. it makes sense for gameplay, but not for space travel. Then applying a drag to the ship to limit the max speed also defies space travel, but does make sense for gameplay. More tuning, more tuning :)
Nice effects and good graphics. Game play was OK as the ship was a bit rough to control and the design appears to be for a very large display as on my 1920x1080 I didn't even realize there was a mini map at the top to use in navigation. Over all a good game, and could be better with an adaptable screen size.
Thanks for that. I'll have to work with the display more. I was surprised to see that it didn't adapt as I thought it would. I realized that too late to do much about pre-deadline. Sorry about that.
Howdy!
I thought the theme and the gameplay was really neat! I especially enjoyed the particle effects surrounding all of the collectables.
One suggestion I have is that moving around felt a little bit tedious - I didn't really feel as though I had enough control of the spaceship and it was easy to get visually lost.
It's really impressive what you've accomplished in 4 days and I enjoyed it a lot. Well done :)
Thanks for that. I appreciate the feedback and I agree about the navigation and tuning of the ship controls. It is definitely easy to get squirreled away somewhere and have little idea the right way to go about it. I have an idea to make the mini-map more useful by employing GTA-like, 7Days-like collectable icons so you can see the direction of items even if they are not on the map itself.
Fun and great concept!
Neat concept and well done for doing it all yourself!
