As a physicist I really loved this game :D I think it was very clever to make a game out of putting objects in orbit around each other. And you executed it really well too! Putting the chaotic three body problem as a final level is just really evil of you XD I did get some really pretty patterns out of it though :D

This was a really fun little puzzle platformer! Really well done, especially for your second game! :D I also liked the art and the moody shadows a lot. I think you used the lantern theme very well here. The extra collectable lantern were also nice and satisfying to find :)

I already liked the platforming, but if you wanted to make it feel even better there are a lot of little tricks you could do. If you are interested you could look up things like Coyote time or variable jump height :)

But that is just a little tip. Really solid submission! I enjoyed this :D

This is so creative and a lot of fun! It is really funny how you can make things very hard for yourself by shooting your bullets in all kinds of random directions every time. I think there could be a lot of depth to the game :)

Also, is it just me or is there a slight homing on the bullets whenever they hit the wall? It feels like they every so slightly bounce toward the player. If that is true that is genius game design and if that is not true then I am just super unlucky XD Really great submission! I loved it

I liked this more than I thought I would. At first I was annoyed by the small field of view, but as the game progressed I started to enjoy it. In the end I had a kind of mental map of the game, which made it surpisingly doable to search for hidden corners I had not visited yet. It is a kind of maze game really. I also liked where the end was hidden! It was exactly where I thought it might be :D

The only criticism I can give is that the buzzing sound when you died was a bit jarring to me. Otherwise, really well done on this one!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I fully agree with you, it is very hard to keep track of what button does what because of the rotating. We are thinking of how we might fix that :)

The handdrawn style is really nice! I love how cozy it makes the game feel :D The gameplay itself was also fun, but it quickly became a bit repetitive for me. I do think there is promise here though. Perhaps with a couple more different kinds of tiles it could keep the players attention for longer. I fully understand that this was not doable for a gamejam game though XD

A second bit of feedback would be to add a bit more communication to the player about what is happening. For exampe, when forests/cities make food/money, or how long do tiles still have left before they disappear? This kind of information might help the player make their decisions better,

But still, really well done! I enjoyed this one :D

This was a nice little puzzle game, but the mechanics were often a bit unclear to me. The H button helped a lot, but even then there were some levels where I got stuck. Often I still missed or misunderstood an important game mechanic (for example, I thought that after the timer ended the whole level would reset, but apparently buttons you pressed stayed turned on). That being said, I think many of the puzzles were quite clever and well designed!

You mentioned this was the first gamejam game you uploaded, so with that in mind I think you did an amazing job! Congratulations on publishing something :D I also really liked the minimalist artstyle you used. It is simple, but it is beautifully cohesive. I hope the feedback does not get you too demotivated and that it can help you improve for next time :)

This was a nice submission! It felt pretty good to play and the bouncing felt satisfying. Perhaps a little tutorial about pressing down to slide down walls would have been nice. Otherwise solid submission. Well done!

This was a lot of fun. I must confess I was a little confused what was going on the first couple times I played, but after reading the description and the in-game book a few times I got the hang of it. I still never won though (is that even possible?). I really liked how you had to make hard decision under pressure. It was quite stressfull, but a lot of fun. Many times I did not really want to sacrifice my people because they were giving me so much stuff, but the timer was running out so I had no choice.

Also really weird but cool take on the theme! This is definitely very unique XD Really well done making this game! I enjoyed it a lot :D

I loved this, but it was way too hard for me. I really liked how the swinging felt. It was super satisfying to build momentum and fly of the ropes, especially at the first one with a large radius. Unfortunately I never made it to the first flag :( Those jumps right before the flag feel impossible hard to me.

Really well done with this submission! It feels super polished and the art fits great. I just wish the difficulty ramped up a bit slower, so that I could have experienced more of the game

This was a fun little metroidvania kind of game, with interesting platform mechanics :) I liked how all the abilities felt very different and that you made really different kinds of challenges for each ability. The music and art were also really great and made for an amazing atmosphere! The platforming itself was sometimes a bit janky. For example, often I would fall down after dashing towards a platform even though it really looked like I would land on the platform. Or enemies would kill me while they didnt even attack me. Overall I still really enjoyed it though! Really well done :D

I really liked the atmosphere of this game. The dark background with the bright firefly and the kind of colour you used really gave it a cozy nightly feel. I was a little confused by the gameplay. I understood I needed to click the firefly and collect the orbs, but I was not entirely sure what made me get closer/further from catching the firefly?

I anyway enjoyed playing your game :D Really well done!

This was really good! The art and music were a perfect fit and really made the game stand out. I also though the puzzles were very cleverly designed, often in such a way that the most obvious to do was not the correct solution. One tiny thing which might have been nice is an undo button. Especially in the last level I figured out the bottom two parts, but I still needed to do the top part. Having an undo button would have made that a bit easier I think

But that is a really minor point of criticism. Really well done! I enjoyed this a lot and I wish there were more levels D:

I am not sure that our implementation is better. I really liked what you made as well! Your game feels more polished to me :)

The collisions are indeed a bit weird at times. In the end we didnt have time to really fix them unfortunately. Thanks a lot for playing and giving feedback :D

I see! Thank you for letting us know and congrats on making it past that point this time :D

I loved this! I anyway really like platformers and even without the orb mechanic this was a very good one, with controls that felt very nice and responsive. The simple but nice art, animations and sounds really made the game feel very polished, especially for a jam game. The orb mechanic made this game feel even more unique and fun! It took me some time to get a feel for the new mechanic, but it was very satisfying to learn and slowly become able to make the difficult jumps :D Unfortunately I dont have time to try and finish the game right now, but I will come back later to try again! Really fun entry, well done!

Really clever game! Already the one-way walking and the direction changing was clever (actually kind of similar in a way to our game :P), but adding the colored blocks that changed whenever you changed screen really elevated this game. I think there are a lot of super cool puzzles you could make with only those elements already. Really well done! I enjoyed this one a lot :D

By the way, the game is indeed a bit finnicky about window size. I avoided the full screen as you suggested, but even just zooming in on my browser webpage broke some things. It didnt spoil the game at all, but I just wanted to let you know :)

I really liked the idea of this game, but unfortunately I did not really get to play it as it was intended I think. I would bump into my clones all the time, which would change what they were doing (at least they would not exactly repeat what I did). So it became a bit chaotic to use them as platformers :/

But I think this is still a very nice idea and nice submission. Really well done!

(1 edit)

Thanks a lot for playing and for your feedback! I would be curious how you got yourself stuck? And there should be a restart level button in the button left. Maybe it didnt show up for you?

Thanks a lot for your kind feedback! I fully agree with your criticism. I am happy you enjoyed it nontheless :)

Thanks a lot for playing our game and the nice feedback! :D I agree that the long waiting time when you make a mistake is a bit of a flaw in the game. A run button might indeed help, although we would have to redesign some levels to take that into account

Haha, that reference to interstellar made me laugh XD Making one little mistake can indeed cost you 51 years! Thanks a lot for playing our game! I am happy you enjoyed it :)

I really loved your interpretation of the theme. The changing level with each looping season was supercool and I am sure there is a lot that you can do with that! The art was super pretty and fitting to the game. One small point of feedback is that the game sometimes felt a bit 'unfair'. For example, you can still get defeated by the berry bushes even though they have almost completely disappeared. Other than that, this was a good entry. Well done!

This was a very fresh take on the theme! I really liked it :D The puzzles were super clever. Often I would just do the obvious thing and get stuck. It often gave this kind of 'huh, Im stuck' moments, which then felt extra good to solve afterwards. The only thing which frustrated me a bit was having to start all the way from the beginning of the game when restarting. Perhaps it would be better if you respawned at the last checkpoint?

This was very cute and relaxing! I really liked the variety of plants you had and the way the grid system really played into the bonusses the different plants had. As a bit of feedback, it would have been helpful to me to get some feedback when a special ability of a plant activates. This would have helped me understand the mechanics of the game faster I think.

Really well done! I enjoy this :D

Oh, a very nice score! Thanks a lot for playing :D

Hi Mandy! Thank you very much for playing and for your kind words :D 1323 is already a really good score :O

Hey Tanasak! Thanks a lot for trying my game and taking the time to write up your thoughts! I appreciate it a lot :D

I am happy you liked it and recognized my efforts to make the game mechanics interplay! I definitely overscoped this game a bit for Ludum Dare, but I am really happy with what I ended up with :) I never thought of capturing a farmer in the corner with the scarecrows. That is a very interesting strat!

I fully agree with your comments! Most of those things I really wanted to implement, but did not have time for in the end. Especially the one where the player can choose the order of growing plants could make the game a lot more interesting I think. I would love to continue development on this game, but we will see how my motivation keeps up :P

Thanks a lot again for your nice comment!

The art was stunning and the music was beautiful! I usually don't really read visual novels, but this was a nice experience. The writing was good and it was nice that there was clear progression through the story. Very well done!

One tiny thing that confused me a bit was writing the down the scrumbled letters. At first I thought I had to create a word out of the scrambled letters, but it seemed any answer worked? I did not completely understand how it fit in the story :)

But besides that tiny thing it was a really nice experience! Great job :D

This was really well done! It was a very relaxed and casual experience, learning about these people and their background. The little minigame of connecting the stars was a great way of breaking up the pace a little and giving the players a breather from the story.

The music was incredible! I especially liked the song at the credits. When the electric guitar comes in it feels really powerful and like a great way to close the story. Really well done! :D

I had one technical issue, which was that my screen was too small too move the camera around in the stars minigame. I did not have any space below the game in my browser window, so I could not move the camera. Luckily it was easily fixed by connecting my laptop to a bigger monitor :)

This was an amazing experience! Very well done! ^_^

This was really cute and definitely suits the theme 'warm feelings'! For me the story progressed a bit fast, but this is honestly very understandable if you only have so much time to work on the game. The art was really nice, especially the character portraits were great. It gave a lot of personality to the characters.

The music was amazing too! It felt very mysterious, exactly how I would expect a mage house to sound :) My only complaint was that the transition between different tracks was a bit sudden. Maybe a fade would have worked?

Really well done! I enjoyed it a lot :D

Thank you very much for playing! I am happy you enjoyed the game. I also appreciate your feedback very much. I will try to balance the sounds a bit more! Finally, happy to hear you enjoyed the music! I am very new to making music :D

Thank you very much for your kind words! Celeste is one of my all time favourite games, so it is high praise for me to hear you got some Celeste vibes from it :D

Haha, it is very interesting to hear that everyone experiences the difficulty in a completely different way. Also makes it very hard to design a game that is fun for everyone XD I am happy to hear you got some joy out of it :D

I have only recently started making music for my own games, so it feels nice to hear you liked it. At least it was not too annoying :) Thanks a lot for playing ^_^

Thank you very much for playing! I am sorry for making the game too hard. I think that for short gamejam games like this it is better to urge on the side of too easy than too hard, but for some reason it is hard for me to do >_< I am happy to hear you like the polish and art though :)

That is indeed a bug. Apparently I never tried to slide down that wall myself, so I never caught it. Should be an easy fix though, thanks for letting me know!

I very much appreciate you shared your experience of the story. This was the first time I tried to incorporate a storyline in a game, so there were bound to be some story telling mistakes. I can completely see how you would be confused by the goal of the journey. I will take that feedback with me for my next games :D

Ah, I see what part you mean. That is indeed one of the more difficult jumps. Thanks a lot for your feedback! :D

Thanks a lot for playing! I am happy you enjoyed it :D

Hmm, dying when you touch a wall or when touching nothing sounds a lot like a bug. Do you remember where in the game this happened to you? I did not run into this one before.

Thanks a lot for playing! I am happy you enjoyed it :)

Thank you so much for playing! I am happy you liked it :D

I was already afraid that it might be too hard. I have a tendency to make the difficulty curve too steep. I am curious where abouts you decided to stop playing? That might give me some feedback on finding the right balance
