In what way does your game fit the theme?
You play as a character thet shoots spells towards hordes of enemies. You need to manage your spells, your positioning and even the placement of your mouse! You'll learn fast but it'll always be chaotic.

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Apart from browsing the internet for solutions to some of the problems I've run into, all the code and art is mine! The music though was made by my mom.

Controls are nice and simple.

Art style is good. Fits the theme.

I enjoyed the guidance given by the blue dude in the beginning :D

(Is it me or are those wands on the ground looks like men genitals?     ('-'*)            )

This is definitely just you!

Really loved his game, other than a few spelling errors and imbalanced fps, I loved the game!

A solid entry for the jam. Have no complaints apart from some nitpicks which do not affect the overall experience of the game. One of them is having a mini-map would have helped a bit and the other is that enemies could be hurt from a distance that made it a bit easy for me as I could kill some enemies from afar. Sound FX bugged during my gameplay maybe a small issue but it felt like sounds were all over the place.

Now the best parts of the game, first and foremost the game design. I loved your approach of having difficulty variations in different areas. Best one being enemies guarding 3 coins. The health pickup on power up was a clever trick. It forced me to pickup other weapons even if I had the best weapon. Kept the difficulty at a level which wasn't too difficult to be frustrating or too easy to be boring. Graphics were really good and were looking pretty. The boss whooped my a#s for the first playthrough, will come back to beat him later. Overall a great entry and I can see you getting good rating from so many people.

I actually planned a minimap but I had to get rid of it as I ran out of time...

But I'm glad you liked it! I can't beat the boss myself unless I have  the strongest attack so I could probably have made it a little bit easier...

Cool game. I liked that you get healed from getting new weapons, so that even though you might have the best weapon, there was still an incentive to get a different one if you were hurt.

Enjoyed playing! Great game! controls are simple, good learning curve,  cool power ups, the graphics bring a retro feel to the game. Keep up the great work!

a question do you play cubecraft cause they just released a new came with the same title. great game. Check out my game too!

Developer (1 edit)

I have actually never heard of cubecraft... But it seems a quite common title as I've already found another submission that has the same name!

Nice Game and good Music you got there. I like some of the upgraded weapons. Maybe some OP ones in the future :D

Great art and sound, solid gameplay. Though shooting loads of shit makes the game lag especially with the green powerup.

Developer

I think it would have been smart to add an option to turn off particle emitters as for the engine, Gdevelop, that I'm using there isn't really a way to improve performance...

Great game, but an enemy somehow ended up in a wall while playing got no idea how though... but other than that I experienced no issues so that's good!

Developer

Yeah... to avoid the player being buried under a pile of enemies, I made it so you can push them away. Unfortunately this means that sometimes enemies can be pushed into walls. I simply didn't find a fix in time.

Green wand best wand! Pretty fun lol. Also with yellow wand you can make a huge ball and one shot stuff by running with it while shooting. Very nice :)

Nice game.

Glad you've enjoyed. I love your submission!

I'm glad you liked. Unfortunately the game was broken, we had several problems during the game jam.

I will play your game again. I played yesterday and was super tired and couldn't write a full feedback.

Nice game and fun gameplay. The cursor was a bit too big and it was hard to see the enemies when I was aiming at them. The green potions is too good!
