In what way does your game fit the theme?
The idea is that it is impossible to survive alone in the cold winter. Friends keep us warm :D

Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
I did everything myself: music, scripts, models, effects. .. but additionally I used some standart textures.

welll it took me like 30 seconds...did I fuck up?

Frustratingly accurate simulation of trying to find someone who is lost and did not stay where they were. I love the atmosphere and the simplicity of it. One of the best jam games I've played so far.

Hint to others: slanted pillars are great landmarks.

Thank you so much for this comment, that means so much to me ^^

I could not tell if I was actually getting to the right spot or if the areas were timed? Nice atmosphere its interesting to see what you are at the end lol. You should try out my game submitted to the Blackthorn prod game jam. I was going for an aesthetic similar to this but in the desert. I think overall this was a little long, I almost did not make it to the end. Perhaps some easter world-building type stuff or something to do along the way would help.

Very cool! I tried it out. It is very good. Nice atmosphere and music as well! Yeah my idea was basically that the player gets lost. Everyone says that he is getting lost but thats the game XD.

If u would know where to look for him, then it wouldn't be a very long game :D

Nice game but finding the way can be easier and particles don't work.

Developer

Thanks, got it!

You have a very cool game! But i didn't know quite well what to do, but keep going great game ! and great music !

Also, if you could play and rate my game!

Developer

Penguins were cute as hell, I was skeptical of the game at first but realizing I was a penguin looking for my penguin child made the ending great. Mouse sensitivity was a bit high, shame the particle effects didn't work because that would have definitely added to the atmosphere. Nice game!

Thanks so much! You are completely right on what you are saying. I played your game as well :D

Shagar said everything I was going to, and more. I did really enjoy the game and was just about to quit before you changed characters. That straight up hooked me. I also love that it's penguins. Penguins are great! Pity about the particles but really atmospheric nonetheless. Nicely done!

It would be cool if you could check out my game too and give it a rating. https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-5/rate/925013

Not gonna lie, I got lost.
I wondered around trying to understand what to do at first, then second, I walked around trying to understand how to do. And finally made it.
The atmosphere is pretty cool! It is a shame the particles does not work, it would have make it even more immersive.

Time for the "trying to be constructive" part:

-Try to make a way to pass the dialogue more quickly. I know it sets up the beginning but I reloaded three time and had to wait each time...
-I play with mouse and keyboard, not on full-screen, and the cursor is not catch by the game. I mean I see it going around and it makes me feel weird when trying to look around...

-Maybe make the level edges more evident. I don't know how though, to not break the good atmosphere... :/

To summarize:
Short (when you understood what and how), with a good atmosphere!

Nice!

Oh wow I'm so impressed by this very good review. This shows once again that the indie gamedev community is one of the best. Thank you so much for taking so much time and effort to review and play my game, which really doesn't have much in it xD. Yes,  the mouse sensitivity broke maybe because of the limited screen on WebGL. I will also take the time to play your game. Thank you :D

i agree with all of these points
