In what way does your game fit the theme?
You "rewind" to the perspective of a fellow seal following your lead, who happened to see the demise of your controlled character. You're the new leader.

Did you write most of the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
The code, the ringed seal, animations and cave assets are created by me.

Low poly rocks are taken from the asset store.
Music and sound effects from: Bensound.com and zapsplat.com

Thanks for watching my stream and sharing this beautiful experience with us! hope to see you around my stream next time!

Really relaxing game, the music made me feel like I was actually the seal. Only thing is that the camera angle sometimes becomes a bit weird, but still I really liked it! Rating done :)

I loved the soothing music and visuals. I expected the up and down to be reversed, but it was a great submission. Good job!

This is a pretty interesting take on rewind. I found the camera a bit weird, and it was a bit hard to understand what was going on, but once I got it, it made sense. One thing that might help to drive home the point that they are dying is blood, because I sometimes couldn't tell if I was dead or not.

Developer

I've seen the camera mentioned a few times so I'll spend more time on it on the next jam! I was thinking of adding blood, but I also thought it would make the game even sadder :D

Thanks for your feedback and trying out the game!

I've seen the rocks mentioned a few times so I'll take that into consideration! Thanks for the feedback and playing the game.

the game was really relaxing . I dont know if its a glitch or not but when i respawned there were two seals and the other one just died haha

Developer

The concept was that when you "die" you move to the perspective of the first seal behind you in the pod (a group of seals) that was following your moves. The leader dies and you become the new leader of the pod for your seals to try and survive the cave!

Thanks for trying out the game!

The graphics and sound create really relaxing atmosphere.
I would definitely expect the up and down keys to be reversed - pressing down to make the seal go up rather than pressing down to make it go down, but it may be just my personal feeling on it.
Good job, keep it up!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I wanted to experiment a bit with the input system and movement, hence the two types of controls between the levels. Another person mentioned reversing the controls in the water and I'll look into it!

Thanks for the feedback and trying out the game!

This game is so relaxing and soothing to play but also heart wrenching whenever a seal died. Loved the atmosphere of this game.

It was fun being a seal :D Once I got use to the controls it was cool~ I felt sad when the seals died though hehe.  Keep it up! Great job making a 3d game in a jam

Well, i don't think i liked it. First issue, controls feels very weird. Its kinda boring. Also first level has some nice graphics, but second looks awful. One think I very like is audio. But I apraciate your work, and hope you enjoyed making it because thats the point of a jam :)

Developer

Yeah, I pretty much ran out of time on the second level since I wanted to do two different types of input systems and work on the visuals of first level (which was also incomplete, wanted to add vegetation and other obstacles like fissures in). Thanks for the feedback and trying out the game!

Very short and simple game! Loved it! I only died once while trying to get used to the controls. Overall wasn't difficult and enjoyable. Not gonna lie, I felt more pressured to not get hit by the rocks more so because it's not really a seal with 5 lives, but you're killing its flock every time you die--Cruel but interesting! Great job!

The music and graphics gave a nice atmosphere. I only have two pieces of feedback, the rocks are hard to tell when they'll crush you, and maybe make it when you move to the sides the seal model doesn't rotate as much, besides that great game!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I've seen the rocks mentioned a few times and I'll take that into consideration. Thank you for playing!

Very cool atmosphere and aesthetic. I like the idea, though I wouldn't call going back to the last checkpoint "rewinding". The seal is a bit hard to control.

Submitted(+1)

Nice atmosphere, although it's hard to tell the rocks position relative to the whale.

Submitted(+1)

Liked difference between levels, controls a little bit hard to handle, but overall great game)

Submitted(+1)

I just adore the atmosphere, the music fits perfectly, the controls are a bit weird but I got used to them really quickly!

This is just, something amazing!

Great job man <3

This is one of my favorites, love the atmosphere you created with the effects & music! My only complaint is the camera position, sometimes it was hard to see what was going on. Honestly a great submission, fantastic job!

also a part of me died when one of my seals did, still can't get over that :(

Developer

Thanks!

Yeah, I wish I could've had more time to tweak and polish camera, environment and finish the second level. I had to turn off the sounds when play testing, otherwise it would've become too depressing .
