The concept is interesting. Could have more player feedbacks and tidy up the colliders. But for a first game, it is nicely done. Keep up the good work!

Interesting concept. Like others have been saying, the movement is pretty weird. Maybe look up some good tutorials on how to code your movement! Also, maybe adding a background would look better than the default dark blue. Anyway, if you ever need help with something, there's always YouTube tutorials to look through.

For a first game and being completely new, this is pretty good! Good luck!

Overall there needs to be a lot of polish done for this game. One thing that annoyed me was when I jumped and was already pressing a key, I would continue to go in that direction even after I let go of the key until I hit the ground. Overall, nice job for your first game jam!

Good ideas but need a lot of polish. Movement could be better. An in game tutorial would also be good thing. Overall a solid game. Well done! :)

Cool game! I didnt really understand what i was supposed to do and the rewind only seemed to move the player tho.

I just missed that you could go upp waterfalls... Maybe you could add some animation to show the water moving upp when the player reverses! and also i dont really understand what the boxes had to do with everything. But otherwise i made it to the end! Great work!

A fun game to play with a lot of potential. But I do see room for improvements, use BGM, just by adding BGM could drastically improve your game, the jump and colliders feels a bit off too. Definitely should keep improving t=in the future (≡^∇^≡)

Consider playing and give feedback to my game too.

I made til the end! Hard to move inside the cave but I liked the idea. Congrats!!!

looks good

I like the idea of having the waterfalls rewind to lift the player.

Jumping felt a bit inconsistent. Animations are a good way to give feedback to the player about when the character can jump.

Nice game!

Developer

Thanks :) we're definitely going to take this experience, as well as the comments, on board for later projects and game jams

Nice game, waterfalls are also nice, but I'm not sure how'd you use the box exactly

Developer

Hi, thanks for your review! I'm pretty pleased with how the waterfalls turned out. As for the boxes, the original intention was to use them as debug objects until we implemented destructible objects (falling debris, perishable items etc) which ultimately didn't make it into the submitted game

Cool idea with the waterfalls.

Developer

Thank you, we appreciate constructive comments. Pretty new to all of this so all of the feedback so far is good! Also thanks for checking the game out

Next time try lighten everything up with some background music and look for sprites that fit together a little better. Besides that I like your idea with the waterfalls but the movement and the design in general felt a little clunky. Good first try I'd say though!

Thanks for your comment! And I agree, a lot of refining was needed in both the aesthetic and gameplay department. It's good to have entered the game jam, no matter the outcome, to experience everybody else's take on the theme and see their creativity etc as well

Yeah, totally on your page there. It's only my second one but I'm really enjoying the whole process. Have fun with playing all the games and I wish you some nice ratings!

for me, the pause menu doesn't do anything
