The background art is amazing! The character/fish/bubble sprites are good, too. Same with the music. The character moves fluidly and feels very responsive.

Criticisms:

The colliders are a bit odd, though. I would get killed by a piranha who was within an arm's length from me. General tip - you want the colliders to be a little bit smaller than the character sprites, otherwise it feels wrong to the player.

The upgrades were way too expensive, costing thousands of dollars. I got 30-200 dollars for each try, and they didn't stack either.

The piranhas didn't seem to have much of a survival instinct, most of them flew into spikes right as they appeared on the screen.

This is a pretty good game as it is though, wouldn't think it's your first. Well done!

Thanks for your valuable feedback. I will definitely work on the things you told .

The problem was that I was having exams during the Jam so I was not able to work properly on the game.

The visuals was sweet.

Will rate it for The GFx =)

I really like the background art. It was enjoyable to play although I really didn't like the holes that teleport the player. I wasn't really sure how they worked since sometimes I could go through them and other times I couldn.t Fun though! Give mine a try too :)

Loved the look of the game.  In fact, your game and mine ended up sharing a couple things, lol.  Anyway, I didn't really get how the money system worked, the dash isn't visually clear, and sometimes the holes on the sides would just spit the player back out of the hole they entered.

Impressive, that you wrote the whole code in Python, instead using a proper game engine.

The art style, souns and the game itself is great!

But how does your game fit to the theme "Holes"?
