Nice animations and cartoon like graphics. The fact that you used animations instead of normal, static sprites, gave the game an extra good ratio.  Audio effects are nice too. Overall a recommendable game for young and old ;)

I LOVED the graphics. You could have had static text, but it makes it so much more charming to have the whole game feel alive and hand-drawn. Good game mechanic too. And well done on introducing the controls gradually. Not sure if you adjusted the platforms already, but I thought that they were timed fine. Appropriate for a platformer game.

Good job!

Maybe graphics it not good in overall, BUT to be honest I love this type of graphics in this type of games (similar to graphics I made in my entry lol). It's adding some sort of unique atmosphere. Also like this respawn effect after when you died. Well done!

Thank you!

Hate to See has a unique feel to it. The graphics are well made to fit its experience and the theme is followed as proper. The Love Meter adds an interesting twist to things adds to the challenge.

One critique that i must give is that as a previous comment stated the platforms are just too slow and ruin the pace of the game. The lack of music (maybe intentional?) is also a minus but one that can be overlooked.

Otherwise, a solid game and a job well done!

Thank you! I believe I'm able to release small patches after the jam as long as I keep a changelog? Not sure if altering the platforms behavior is too large. Either way, I'd make the platforms much faster but I'd make them stop for a few seconds at both the start and end points.

The animations and graphics you made fit very nicely with your theme. My biggest grievance with this game is how long I had to wait for platforms -- combined with how easy it was to die to a crusher, this made some of the later levels a bit of a chore to get though. Anyhow, it was a fun experience.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I did think about adjusting the platforms. And, yes, the crushers were a bit mean :P
