Cool twist on 2048! I liked how you added strategy and resource management to a simple puzzle game. The art choices and audio was good. It was very enjoyable. The only thing I can criticize is that 50 waves is too long.

How does your game fit the theme?
You need to be calm in the storm, sort things out and build your kingdom to survive waves of enemies. Use the storm wisely to manage resources and defend against enemies!
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Everything except for the art is made from scratch, the free asset I used is Tiny Swords by Pixel Frog

Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to look at it again in the future heres the vod timestamped to your game
Nice little artstyle, I like the overall work. Great Job and Good Luck!
At first i was a bit confused but it was fun! You picked right art for the game, i love the cozy feeling. nice work!
Very cool mechanic! Love the unique integration of 2048 into the gameplay, though it took me a bit to figure out that moving the units costed gold lol. I also didn't notice that you had to use the wind to blow back enemies
This is very cool, the wind mechanic affecting both the structure grid and the map is very interesting and innovative. This game is really solid and highly replayable for being made in 7 days!
The start is surprisingly hard, requiring you to learn what to do near-instantly, as wasting time or making mistakes early will compound later, which is fine I suppose and led to this funny stalemate where I was abusing heavy gold production to keep the snowballed army away (which I suppose I would inevitably lose when the army grows too large).
You should adapt this for mobile I could get sunk into this for hours
Wow how did I not find this sooner!! This game is a gem of a jam, if anything Im only frustrated cos I couldn't reach the Goblin God after an hour of gameplay T-T And you did this alone?? Man, really well done :D
Good job. Only problem is making the lumber yards cost wood. I accidently destroyed mine then ran out of wood so I couldn`t build anymore and I couldn`t get more wood.
This is something i would play on my phone 100%! I loved your idea to mix 2048 with small idle kingdom builders and tower defense. Wanted to play something like this for some time. Good job! But i think some tiles were more stackable than others. Also wasn't clear how to upgrade from 4 guards to more and if it was possible
Liked the game! The enemy troops spawned very frequently so I needed to upgrade the structure quick enough without making all the slots full, it was very enjoyable to try it out!
Woah this is a really unique take on the theme! Really cool idea, art is great, sounds are nice. Fun to play, good job! Nicely organized UI too. I like how to little guys also move when you use the wind, that's a nice touch that makes the game feel really cohesive. I wish I could choose where the lightning goes lol
Really interesting mechanic with the wind, grid of buildings and how it shifts both those and the position of units on the field when you press movement keys.
Well done, I enjoyed it a lot and nice, creative mechanics.
One thing I didn't like is I think the Level 4 barracks don't work (unless I missed something), which is too bad since the game is hard and this upgrade may help in order to try to win this game.
If there is a bug it isn't game breaking, as it might be possible to win using only level 3 barracks, so I don't think it should be updated during this jam, but maybe for after.
What happens is that even if I have only that level 4 barracks, and upgraded buildings pumping out resources of all three kinds at full blast and have hundreds of wood, gold and meat, not a single unit is created from that barracks.
I build no other barracks, so it's not because other barracks are being prioritized, I think it's because the level 4 barracks just doesn't work.
I think it's supposed to give one of each unit, but right now I think it doesn't do anything.
(unless for some reason it's only supposed to work when the goblin wakes up, but I never got that far yet since the game is challenging and it's pretty hard to even get there)
I enjoyed this game and it's possible I might play it again sometime, nice job on this!
Hi, thanks for playing. I think you got it wrong, the lv4 barrack requires 1 troop of each other types which means in order to spawn a DEMON, you have to sacrifice 1 naked dude, 1 archer, 1 knight and some meat, gold in order to spawn them out. And the game is unbeatable if you don't spawn lv4 units btw:v. Hope this help you!
Ah you mean you have to have 1 of each unit already on the board in combination with all those resources? I guess it's possible I didn't have enough units and/or resources when playing for the level 4 barracks to be able to create even a single demon, so that may explain it. I think what I might do is see if I could try it again sometime, thanks for your reply.
Ay I'm your 20th rating! Wow okay this game is the best I've played so far! This is the first game I went BACK to and played. The core mechanic of the game is very interesting, reminiscent of 2048. I struggled to understand that the wind mechanic cost gold for a bit, but after I figured it out, NO SWEAT. Super enjoyable challenge, definitely deserving of a high rating. With levels, different areas, different tile load outs you could choose from, this game could absolutely pop off commercially.
The game showcases a unique blend of 2048 mechanics with tower defense elements, creating a refreshing and innovative experience. The storm mechanic adds an engaging layer of strategy, but the difficulty curve and lack of clarity in some game mechanics can make the initial experience challenging. The art and graphics are well-suited to the game's style, though there’s room for improvement in UI and tutorials to enhance player understanding. Overall, it’s a solid and creative game with great potential for refinement.
Also try our game! thx in advance
