How does your game fit the theme?
A Storm is approaching and strikes the town in waves with increasing intensity. the gameplay is made of consecutive player turns(calm before), followed by the storm applying damage(the storm).
There is a sense of urgency to complete the goal before it is too late and the storm is too powerful.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
yes.
(except for sound effects which I downloaded for free from pixabay)

It's a bit lacking in tutorial, but once you understand how to play, it's very fun!
I'm glad I tried this game.
Hee-ho. Interesting game. Good idea
Absolutely love singleplayer board game style stuff like this. Playing against the weather is always fun and was a great way to approach the theme. As people said, wall of text is rough, but boardgames usually have rulebooks you need to read so I think its very excusable, especially given the time fraame. Love the different tile art and the animations, makes for a super polished and fun experience.
Thanks for playing!
I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
This game was fun after I understood how to play. The wall of text at the start was a bit overwhelming, and there was so much to read I had a hard time remembering everything for a bit. I think a proper step by step tutorial could have helped a lot of people out. Once I did finally grasp all the rules I enjoyed it. The randomness made some losses feel unavoidable, but I think it was pretty balanced overall, and the difficulty option was a nice touch. The sound effects were fitting, but I think some music would have worked better than the ambient rain. Overall great job!
I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Your criticism is understandable and appreciated.
Thank you for the kind words!
I think I liked the uniqueness of the game.
I was a bit confused about what the strategy was. I guess I might've just needed a bit more instruction on what the goal of the game was.
Thank you for the comment and the feedback!
Very cool concept, I couldnt figure out how to open the floodgates, even knowing theres apparently a "golden button" or clicking enter. I really liked the concept tho. You get a good rating
Thank you for the kind comment and the feedback!
A floodgate can only be opened if the player stands on the floodgate tile and has 4 cards of the required tool type.
So for example to open the floodgate with the hammer icon, you need to stand on that tile while having (at least) 4 hammer cards in your deck. Only if these 2 conditions are fulfilled the button will appear and you will be able to open the floodgate.
I hope it helps!
I'm not sure I understood the game. Some tutorial is necessary. Please provide them in the itch page, it will help others.
I 'm not sure what tools do, we need to collect them all ?
Other than that game looks good, the SFX do the job. Keep it up.
Thank you for pointing that out! I provided some additional info about how the game works in the itch page, I hope this helps.
And you need to collect 4 cards of each tool to open the corresponding floodgate. (There are 4 types of tools in total)
Thank you for the feedback!
I think I understood after playing for a bit, but some more instruction would have helped. Cool idea for sure.
Thank you for the feedback! I provided some additional info on the itch page, so I hope it's more clear now.
It was a bit confusing and I don't really understand the final goal of the game, but the graphics and art were great :)
Thank you! I provided more info on how to play in the itch page, hopefully it's less confusing now. :)
The final goal is to open the 4 floodgates so the town can survive the storm, and then you need to return to the shelter tile to hide until the storm passes.
I'm glad you liked the art :)
