How does your game fit the theme?
My game fits the theme "Calm before the Storm" by building tension and urgency as the asteroid approaches. Initially, the environment could be calm and peaceful, with citizens unaware of the looming catastrophe. The "calm" part of the game could involve characters gathering citizens with minimal challenges, but as the timer progresses, the game could introduce more obstacles—such as debris, panic, or changing weather—that escalate the difficulty and represent the impending "storm." The final moments before the asteroid strike would turn into a frantic race to get everyone to safety, blending calm and chaos.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Some assets have been taken from the unity. The main core logic of the game like dynamic world generation, and extraction of characters from car to rocket, etc. has been implemented from scratch by me and my teammate.

Very Cool!

Really good game and well-done mechanics. I think this game would have benefitted with a faster car movement adding some real sense of urgency. The different levels and design are also good. The music supports the game well.

Some bugs is the ppl are slow to leave in the circle and they still leave the car after I get out of the circle.  Some UI is off screen like the left and right edged UI's.

Aside from that you have a really good base game to build upon. Kudos!! :D

Thank you so much for detailed feedback! Will resolve bugs in the updated version...

Really enjoyed this! Game was a bit confusing in the beginning but it's pretty clear when you get used to it after like a minute or so. The driving mechanic was done really well! Some of the passengers weren't coming out of my car for some reason though

Anyhow had a great time!

Hey! The car controls pretty well and it's a nice idea overall. I think having different scores for the people you pick up or being able to upgrade your car somehow to get more in would be great. I'd also like it if everyone just jumped out of the car when you get to the red circle, would make the loop a lot more fun. Audio is great, though! Overall, solid submission.

Thank you so much for taking the time in rating! Yeah, the improvements will be added in the later updates...

Very good car controls! It's a bit long to wait for people to get out of the car, but it's OK. Nice game!

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to rate the game! I will improve this in the later levels in the future...

Liked the simple yet fun gameplay of picking up as many people as possible and bringing them back to the ship.

The large circles made everything very clear and nice job on including the additional level in the city beyond the first one in the parking lot when time ran out.

One minor thing to improve the game is when bringing passengers back, the first one comes out right away, but it doesn't lower the cap. It only starts lowering it after the next one.

Other than that, really nice job on this game!

Developer

Thank you so much for the constructive feedback. The number lowers when the person enters the ship...

Hee-ho. Cool art. Good car controls

The map, driving system, car model is from PROMETEO: Car Controller asset.

Car handling should be more snappy, also the people should all get out at the same time in the extraction circle, instead of slowly one by one.

Other than that there's a good basis for a fun game.

hey great car controls. they are slow but feel very real

hey, on my device, the screen is cropped at the sides. other than that, cool project!

Developer

Play the Game in Full Screen...
I don't know what is wrong in your device since it was responsive when it was made...

I did. It's cropped in both cases. Take a look

Developer

Use the Blue Button for Full Screen...

the top picture is in full screen ;)

You do have a point, it isn't correct in this game. I think the cause of the problem is in itch.io the embed dimensions size (without going in fullscreen with the Unity fullscreen button) doesn't match the Unity project size.

I noticed this similar issue in my game during development and testing upload on itch.io where it cuts off the game before going in full screen, but somehow figured out how to do it correctly as I didn't like it and wanted it to show correctly even before going in fullscreen.

I believe I may have changed the settings in the Unity project itself, but I did this sometime well before the jam dealdine.

Since this isn't a game breaking bug, they should avoid changing the game itself just for this.

Probably the best they can do is go to the admin page of itch.io and make some change (which all participants can do, and there's no rule against it for this jam as long as the game file itself isn't changed) and make the embed size match the current settings for the current Unity project dimensions to fix the issue.

Since they have the page opening separately now due to the itch.io settings they are currently using already, it may be easier to get away with just raising the embed dimensions on the itch.io page. This avoids updating the game file itself and it should still look OK for now.

Thank so so much! Will look into it...

The controls are a bit complicated to handle, but appart from that, it's quite a good game. The only thing I found annoying is the way people enter the rocket one by one

Developer

Thank you, will look into it later on...

The car controls could be a little more responsive, especially the handbrake. I'd like to see where this goes after the jam!

I liked the driving mechanic and thematic, would definitly improve the saving people mechanic

Driving feels really fun, good project!

It would be cool if you could see how many people you saved at the end, so you would know how well have you done.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback... Will incorporate it later on definitely...

The car was a little too slow for my liking but overall I think you have a pretty solid game, great job!

I enjoyed the car handling mechanics and your out of the box approach to the theme. I have to say though the game was kind of confusing? The minimap was a great help to find people, but I couldn't for the life of me find the rocket to drop them off at. I'm also curious as to the decision to run this in a browser? I'm on high end hardware and was averaging around 15fps, it made it quite hard to enjoy the game at it's fullest.

Developer

Thank you so much for your constructive feedback. The main reason for the game to upload on WEBGL was that all players can play the game on their browsers. But don't worry, the PC build of the game will be uploaded later on once the Jam has been finished. It has been delayed due to some restrictions and some internal Unity build issues... From our side, the game should run properly on the browser...
