How does your game fit the theme?
Your day at work is pretty normal until you find something
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

I did not understand the 2+2 rule, all I feel is jump, swing ? So I did not go very far, I did not go to any monster. The coin explosion does nothing when on floor, and I did not manage to use it in air. Some more tutorial zone are needed. Aa it, that's too hard for me.
2+2 rule means that you have 2 jumps that save your momentum and 2 that let you stop midair. You can use coin on the ground but it usually isn't as effective as midair. Don't move your camera after throwing the coin, it'll always cross middle of the screen. Hope that clears things for you
My Windows finds a trojan virus on your .zip file and quarantines it. Other people have apparently played your game safely though, so not sure what's going on. Just thought I'd let you know.
False positive
This happens with literally every EXE that you download from the internet that isn't signed. Don't have money for that :(
This is the only downloadable game this has happened to me on this jam. Windows even named the virus. It's weird, but yeah, probably false positive because no one else seems to have encountered this issue.
Very Cool!
Super cool mechanics that all work really well with each other. Well done!
Really fun game, I think that I'd point out is that, when you land on a lowpoly model, the edge can make the player slip and fall into the pits. Other than that, really fun :)
Hehe we probably should've used cyllinder for player shape
No joke, I gave my cousin this game to play it and he finished it. He really did loved it :). His face at the reveal of the monster was priceless lol! Third best game from this Jam(out of 106 games that I rated :)) Your game is too underrated !
Well it may not have many reviews but I really tresure how people usually treat it as an actual game, even if not strictly positive (which is good, feedback is always good)
really nice graphics/sfx, but the gameplay was clunky, specifically the coins. they seemed really inconsistent to hit. a lot of the aiming/collision/movement was pretty iffy, but its hard to do that stuff in a short time. thanks for entering!
Really cool game! The graphics were great (I especially loved the monster design!). The mechanics are fun and the puzzles have a good amount of challenge that makes it satisfying when you complete them. The audio really fits and the overall game is appears very polished. Great job! :D
Really cool concept that I could see fleshed out into a larger project. Would love to see the mechanics really tightened and tuned to perfection and I could see this kinda of movement based mining game being a blast. Well done!
A really fun idea, with genuinely enjoyable mechanics! I think a little more polish is needed, but that's a lot to ask for a game jam timescale. Otherwise, a really interesting game idea, and fun to play :)
Thanks! We actually already have a much more refined version that we'll release after the jam :D
I love the concept and the mechanics were fun. Once I understood how they could be chained together it was immensely satisfying. However I can't help but feel it felt unforgiving in unfair ways. For example the hitbox on the coin being very small and launchpads not always exploding unless you hit them just right. My suggestion would be to make the hitboxes more forgiving so that you can increase the difficulty of the levels as the game progresses.
I want to see more of this!
Thanks! Yeah we didn't have time to iron out everything so saving your momentum is challenging. Coin throws can be tricky to understand but if you don't move your camera after throwing it, most of the time you will be able to hit it even on high speeds. Weird launchpad behaviour is a remnant of older concept we forgot to remove :/
I just wanted to add "hitting them just right" means just hitting twice... There's no trick just really bad design with no telegraphing, sorry about that!
The coin mechanic was a lot of fun to play around with. I loved the momentum once you got into it. That being said, the boss (?) level inverting your controls was a bit much for me and I couldn't rewire my brain to get very far.
Thanks for sharing with my stream! Here's the VOD of your game: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2254453937?t=00h59m37s
Glad you like it! Boss doesn't invert your controls, there's a bug where you could rotate your camera past 90 degrees down so you can flip yourself upside down and looking through the vod, you accidentally did that while falling down to the eye room.
oh shit lmao i'll have to give it another go then
Weird mechanics turned into a bowl of fun. When you get the momentum, you do flow with it.
Great entry! Also nice puzzly level design!
I'm very happy you liked it 😅
Very difficult. I really was trying to focus on timing and hitting the jump / launch mechanic. Cool entry!
Hee-ho. Very hardcore game. Super nice. Thank for cool experience
You're welcome, but we could do much better than this =))
It is the most difficult game i played in this jam. I couldn't get the correct hit coin jump once i get to the tunnel where you supposed to do that. Also your mines look like they are made of cardboard :D But all the other work on visuals seems good, i just wish it was more fun and less frustating
They are indeed, cardboard
I can imagine the developer playing it for like 20 hours while developing and now having unrealistic expectations. You will die dozens of times in the same spot until you find the right combination of jump, throw and hit the coin, jump again or hit the booster thing. The monster is like a carrot on a stick and you are the carrot. A kill volume that is always behind you. The visuals do not accurately represent how close it is or whether it can reach you. In one place it can glitch and get ahead of you, which allows you to see its behavior: it stays in place and instantly moves as you do as if you are hard linked together. You would need to memorize and perform perfect sequences of actions within a few seconds and even with the numerous auto-saves, which are might be broken spawning the monster too close, I have rage-quit.
Yeah the monster part turned out to be much worse than it should've been :))))
Apart from that we had multiple playtests ranging from "beat this in 10 minutes without a problem" to "I can't get past 4th room" and so far I'm bit confused about it
I liked it, it was very fun, until the boosfight. It is kind of broken, and I didn't know how to escape from the creature. Apart from that, nice graphics, good jumpNrun mechanics, overall good game.
Fair, bossfight is ass
Cool game. Deep Rock Galactic prototype. Very fun to play. But i think tutorial should me more obvious. )
