How does your game fit the theme?
Stormy Herd embodies the theme 'Calm before the Storm' by placing players in a peaceful environment where they must manage and protect animals. As each storm approaches, the calm atmosphere turns tense, and players must act quickly to save their herd before disaster strikes. The contrast between calm preparation and the frantic rush to safety perfectly captures the theme.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all of the code was written from scratch. Some assets, like sound effects and textures, were sourced from free libraries, while other assets, such as the animal models and storm effects, were custom-made for the game.

How do I save the animals, and how do I get points?
The art is very beautiful and I liked the concept. but I think because of the camera perspective it is difficult to move the animals between islands. Additionally, the physics are somewhat clumsy, although I understand that may be because it gives it a more comical touch.
Music is fun haha.
Despite all the above, it's a good job! :D
Cute and great-looking game, pretty polished! That said, I'll be honest, I have no idea what I am doing or how to play the game... like sure I can select and give move orders to animals, but what good is it when they are trapped on those tiny islands? Perhaps could use more controls explained. Otherwise hilariously good, especially for a first-project!
Thanks so much for playing my first game! I'm really happy you enjoyed it, and I apologize for any issues you encountered. There’s a 'How To Play' menu in the bottom right of the main menu, next to the leaderboard. As for the story, the animals are trapped on tiny islands because a powerful storm shattered the land into fragments, leaving the islands floating on the water. Now it's up to you to help them survive and find safety!
Game has potential, but I had a hard time figuring stuff out since there's no controls list anywhere in the game or even in the description. Music also gets pretty repetitive.
I really liked the idea and it fits the theme really well! i struggled a bit with the camera but other than that it is a solid game!
Cool idea. The art looks great. The music gets repetitive. Overall, good work.
Well done! I really like the style and the overall feeling of the game. The music is nice at first but becomes annoying real quick. It would be nice to have an option to rotate the camera (maybe i just didn't figure out how?).
Thanks for rating my first game! You can check the 'How To Play' menu in the bottom right of the main menu, along with the leaderboard. I forgot to add a controls tutorial, but you'll find some info in the menu. You can also rotate the camera using Q and E."
Your game idea is pretty cool. The theme fits very well and i love the art style. Good job!
Interesting idea. Though music sample is a bit too short so with looping it gets repetitive quickly. Really nice art and style. Good job overall
Enjoyed the assets and overall vibe from your game. It took a bit to get the hang of the controls but overall, good work! Congrats and good luck!
Nice little game you’ve got there! Didn’t realize you could move the camera at the beginning but figured out right after. Keep going you’re doing good!
Nice game, the title screen is very funny !
loved the animal models and the overall vibe of the game
The style is cute and graphic is also good. Hope can have more combination between the animal and storm.
I love the chaotic nature of the game: simulation part of picking, storm and crowd movement, but in my opinion it is a bad practice to use it as an obstacle for the player, it needs something else to make the game more deep and fair. Great vibes!
Has a potential to be a good mobile game! Check out my submission, hope you will enjoy it!
nicely done, the models and storms look really good, had great fun playing it!
I really like the graphic of the game. It is a very chill game to play. It could be very nice as a mobile or tablet game
I'm new to game development, and this is my first game, so I didn’t have enough knowledge about mobile games—sorry about that! Thanks so much for playing and rating, and I'll be sure to check out your game too!
It did take me a few times to understand what was happening and what I was supposed to do. It's a fun idea, controls are in need of polishing. Also, maybe detailed in-game instructions would be a lot of help
you can check How To Play menu in main menu bottom right and leaderboard as well, its my first game so sorry for the bad experience i'll try my best next time, Thanks :)
It wasn't a bad experience by any means :) And it was still fun to play
A very easy to learn and fun game :).
One thing tough, when moving the animals, it can collide with some objects that cause them to fall from their respective platforms.
Sorry for the late reply, but I didn't quite understand what you meant. Could you please give me more details? It would be really helpful for me, as this is my first game and I put my heart into it. Thanks so much!
There are some small assets(boxes or pots) than can collide with the animals grabbed by the player, but it doesn't really break the game lol
Hopefully you'll also rate mine :) https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690
no you cant grab them IDK how this happened to you
