How does your game fit the theme?
Explore and expand your island by discover what's behind each door (tile)
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Most of the code is made from scratch except for some quality of life extensions from my older projects.
I made most of the art with some works from older project and free internet assets.
Audio is free stuff I found online :D

Very fun game, you can take some inspirations from Colonist game. I bet that + this would make one hell of a banger game. Nice game, but couldn't really find a theme for game jam
I got close to revealing the entire island but ended up with a lot of ? blocks all stuck by themselves. Since the explorers costed 6000 it made it difficult to afford them. I ended up quitting with like 5-6 because my hand got tired and I wasn't getting enough carrots from the few that were left. I really enjoyed the game it just needs a little tweaking to prevent getting stuck like that.
I would also like a way to collect the carrots from each place faster. I also wouldn't mind clicking to do things instead of dragging things to where they go.
I seemed to have issues getting the adventurer guy (3rd card) to let me buy it, it had the 2nd guy and more than enough carrots (it said 1600), but I couldn't get it to let me buy it.
I probably played this longer than any other game in the jam and would love to see it get updated :)
I never made it to any doors unless I just didn't notice any.
Thank you so much for playing, i really really appreciate it!! I had a lot of fun making this so all the feedbacks are super helpful when I got the chance to update and tweak stuff after the jam :D
I kinda don't wanna do conventional door so I thought how about making an island where you reveal what's behind each door (tile) so there's definitely no normal door in this :D
Loved the juicyness! The audio is very fitting for the carrot pickups! Love the easing effects on everything.
Set my own goal of revealing the whole map (since there was a progression meter at the top too), which I did, don't know if there's a win state afterwards, there wasn't any fanfare when I got the progression meter filled.
The Adventurer I could ever only buy one of then no more no matter how much carrots and explorers I had, not sure what the Adventurer does either? For a very long time I tried clicking on the carrots (which didn't always register) until I realised it was the tile you were supposed to click instead.
Good game, well done!
Thank you so much for playing! I kinda ran out of time to make an ending there :D
I'll look into fixing bugs and tweaking stuff after the jam so I really appreciate the feedback!!
I loved the cozy vibe and got addicted to open more slots and add a lot of cute bunnies! Really cute design and cozy audio
With a bit more of progression tooning this game would be perfect, I love it
I think there's something really cool here, I just cannot figure out how to progress or what anything means. I'm getting explorers sometimes, and then other times getting none.
The sound and art is great though, and I'm sure if I could figure out how to progress I would lose a lot of time mindless clicking those little carrots. (Not entirely sure what it has to do with doors though, but maybe I'm being a bit too pedantic?)
Thank you for the helpful feedback, I will make sure to add a little how to play in the game description. Basically you can reveal a tile by drag and drop an explorer on to it, and every tile will have a chance of random reward on unlock
Such a cute and fun game! It's so addicting I forgot I was playing something from a game jam submission HAHA
Really cool, nice and cozy game :)
Such a cute and cozy game! Love how calm the visuals and animations are.
The art is really cute and the amount of polish is mind-boggling. How did you manage to make this in a week?
Thank you for playing! It was a bit of work for sure but sit down and doing the little things is really fun for me and I got a lot of help from stuff I've already made in past projects :D
Cool game ^^
Thank you for playing! ^^
