How does your game represent "Power"?
SciCorp's #1 innovation is the SciGun, the most powerful gun known to man (and deer)! An escapee deer, steal the SciGun and restore power to the elevator to escape, all while seeing your score be subjected to the power of multipliers!

I agree with what the others said. Guess I'm a deer.
Wow how did only 11 people play this game? It's so much fun! Ofc I wish there were more levels to it and it didn't just loop endlessly but trust me that's a compliment rather than a complaint. Fantastic job!
Thank you so much!! Yeah I wish more people played lol :') but I'm glad you had fun!
Lots of great ideas here! ~~I don't think i ever got the Buck mechanic~~ i actually did as i went back to check the game again while typing this. the game says to press, but it really only works if you HOLD. wow, that would have changed the way i played completely. i was playing so slow . it felt like nothing was happening when i pressed the button. the gun mechanics and upgrades were great however. the ragdolls were a great addition too. i think i would have liked some gravity on the ragdolls, because i would sometimes lose track of who i did or didn't shoot, and they would just maintain their posture indefinitely. i think i'd also like more visual reminders than i am a deer. i kept forgetting during the game, and it is such a nice theme. maybe some antlers or something in the gui. EDIT; i also wanted to say, this was one of the more simple, but also, very memorable musical tracks. nice work on that.
Thanks so much for the feedback and the kind words, and I'm glad you enjoyed playing! Sorry you struggled with the buck mechanic, I wrote the tutorial text in the last hour before the submission, needless to say I was kind of rushing lol. The animations for the gun reload, and a menu animation of the deer's 3D model idling were also scrapped due to time, but we do plan on adding them in a final version of the game!
The ragdolls are actually also not ragdolls -- we wanted to implement them but ran out of time, so it's just the enemy model with the animator shut off! Them floating around in space is an unintended byproduct but certainly adds to the silliness, though I totally agree that it's very confusing to know when an enemy has been killed.
I love the floating ragdolls on death, had me rolling.
Very chaotic and funny FPS game, great job! :)
really great presentation. the gameplay is also fun. would benefit a whole lot from a little more polish but really fun and great.
Thanks so much for playing! Crazy how long a week feels and yet there's still so little time for everything -- we definitely will be updating the game post-jam. Glad you enjoyed!
Amazing game, excellent decisions were made.
Uhhh, okay this was cool, the pixelated graphics is a nice vibe together with the music, but the gameplay is interesting, I think they have a bit much health, but what really threw me off was when some of them started to glitch, stop or move super fast, it felt like I was playing against people online who uses a horrible internet connection lol.
Overall it was a fun experience.
The enemy flip/shoot animation we discovered allows the scientist to clip onto their own bullet as it shoots out of their gun and fly forward at the player, which we thought was just so funny we had to keep it in the game lol. I wish we had more time to implement ragdolls and tweak health and damage numbers so the game just feels better -- but I'm glad you had fun nonetheless! Thanks for playing!
GYETT BUCKED!!!!!! super fun and bite-sized experience :)) GREAT WORK!!!
Obviously a couple of issues, but c'mon, the enemies do backflips and hit the griddy. And speed. Lots of speed. I ended up softlocking myself by clipping into a table cause moving too fast. Necessary experience.
Sorry about the table clip! By the time we had a working game loop going we didn't have enough time to playtest the levels so some places in the levels you can get stuck on. Glad you had fun though!! :)
Nice job, fun little game and i love how you can stack useless scopes. i felt like enemies had too much health and I couldnt really tell when they died, I also think you could just remove the pixel shader because the models and textures are nice enough on their own so they could shine. Overall nice work!
Thank you so much! There's definitely a lot of room to tweak the numbers (and more reasonably scale health and damage per levels). I think a big part of enemy deaths being confusing is that they just "shut off" after they die, which was a result of me setting the enemies up to ragdoll on death but not having enough time to implement them :(
Happy to hear you say you disliked the pixel shader, because it was a nightmare for our UI! It's mostly camera tricks, but that actually caused us to lose in-engine UI capabilities and we had to rewrite them ourselves. I would love the 12 hours back xD
really like the look and the big numbers on the screen, great formula for success!
thank you so much!
This is such a crazy and fun game, really enjoyed my time playing it. After about 2-3 levels I was one-shotting everything and getting way too many points, but my gun looked goofy enough that I still had fun. I wish there were more levels and the enemies were more aggressive
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the gun, it was kind of the crux of the idea. We're planning on adding more and larger levels as well as updating enemy AI for our post-jam release!
Nice shooter! I really liked how leaning looked - didn't seem too functional, but looked neat, especially the hanging texts when you lean :)
Thank you! Yeah, leaning doesn't do too much functionally right now, but I do love how the tutorial text came out :)
This game is fun but it's even better if you never let go of shift the entire time
;)
