Cool concept. It seems like there’s not much reason to use different notes, so you don’t really end up with a melody, and once you get the right sequence of kicks and snares there’s not much left to do. It may be a good idea to include a timer and an eventual end so that players can be self-motivated to try to avoid bumping into walls to optimize their time, plus track some other stats for more things to try to optimize.

I got very hooked by this one! Eventually found a six tile solution that runs infinitely. I like how this game design encourages you to get really absorbed by trying to beat each screen, and then when you step back you realize you've created a little song loop. I like the look as well.
Cool game :) made it to 396 then got stuck. It feels like once you get stuck you basically need to start over with trial and error, since the whole structure of your song is affected if you start changing notes.
Yeah, the fact that a tiny change to the sequence causes a ripple effect that can ruin the run is an issue. Like others have suggested, I think having some kind of checkpoint system (along with more levels of course) where you just have to make it through a few loops and then you can change it for the next section would be better.
I liked the concept, I think like Jan said, it'd be cool if you reached a point and then can edit your track for specific levels.. like, once you pass a level your track is locked in and then you can only add to it?

Very satisfying to click around on the beats! Don’t know how you did it, but no matter what I do, it ends up sounding nice :) I needed some help in the comments for figuring out how to jump, but once I had that information, it was quite fun! It’s surprisingly hard designing a beat that will get you far. I wonder how a version of this would look like where each “room” was an individual puzzle that does not restart all the way at the beginning?
