Well executed game of this genre. It was interesting to have a run-based game that let you try different builds on each day rather than locking you into a single build path, though I did wish something carried over between days. I think the slowly building soundtrack has good synergy with the slowly building enemy density/difficulty.
Very addicting! I like how the wild west theme is neatly followed throughout all abilities. The graphics have the same kind of charm as something like Baba is You to me :) Adding more music layers per day is a nice touch.
I found the combo of haste + tire overpowered, but that’s not a criticism. Breaking the game in a fun way is part of the joy of these kinds of games!
One thing I would improve on is adding a bit of constraint to the first few upgrades to guarantee that no run will have bad starting options, as that is simply not as fun. See how Hades subtly pushes the dice to round out the runs.
Ah, I forgot to mention one thing: the abilities are also quite nicely varied! They all felt distinct enough for me to get a feeling for them and how my run was going to evolve. Good job! :)
Well done, it's a great implementation of a vampire survivor-like game. I feel like the game is relatively done well, graphics and audio might need a bit polishing. Other than that the game mechanics are implemented quite correctly. I feel that the game doesn't have an interesting twist that incorporates the theme.
Believe it or not, this is the first time I played a vampire survivors-like game. Well executed and fun! Some feedback:
An enjoyable experience, good job!
Hey glad you had fun :). The theme connection is ‘restarting today’ if you die. Originally I wanted to have a meta-progression and up the difficulty so you die more, but didn’t have time.
