I don't regret having downloaded and compiled it to play on macOS, the shaders looks great, the web version doesn't do it justice.

I'm playing on Mac, so unfortunately I couldn't try the native version although I would have loved to, especially as I was getting some weird effects from trying to use the right click in the browser that made it difficult to complete the last stages. I really dig the story you came up, and the mechanics of using weapons for other purposes was a really cool idea, I wish I'd have thought of it!

I love the theme interpretation, and the graphics and sounds are great! The only criticism I have is that the last stage got a bit tedious. But overall I liked it a lot!

I might have just got unlucky with where the minerals spawned, but the beginning was really a drag for me, couldn't find the last few I needed to get the gun for awhile.  Grind is okay but need something to get the player invested a bit first or they won't stick around to get to the good stuff.

Really neat overall. Gun felt good 👍

Props for creating a really complete experience.

The gun effects make it really satisfying to use.

I almost preferred the visuals in the web version though... the background in the native build was really distracting and the bloom is kinda intense. But had to switch over to native because right clicking to activate the shield on the web was causing issues due to the context menu popping up and taking focus.

I really liked this! I understand where the other commenters are coming from about feeling a bit of a grind there at the end, but personally, it felt right to me. By then I was comfortable with the controls and found myself enjoying just wandering around and listening to the ambient overworld theme and the crackling of the cannon.

A here I was thinking armaments is word used only in Elden Ring 😁

The premise is neat, but, as mentioned by others, it def got quite tedious at the end.
The gun felt quite nice, so I was said to just overheat it. You are lucky we've got national insurance in my country, otherwise you'd be getting a bill for RSI-induced injuries.

You can hold down the left mouse button to fire as often as you can.

I enjoyed this! I liked how each section of the game made me think differently of the environment. I had trouble activating the shield and I think I got frustrated at how quickly the warlord cooled off when trying to gather materials but I thought it was a clever mechanic.

Really fun game, I loved the asteroids style gameplay with the idle mechanics, and one of the few games I've seen where the side effects are positive! I also really liked the story elements and how they tied in with the gameplay! I think the pacing could do with a bit of work, but I understand that can be hard to do during the jam, but I also feel like this could have been improved through some form of upgrade mechanics such as a magnet effect to attract minerals or faster material generation. Overall, really impressive the amount of work done during the jam and I really enjoyed the game!

I liked how the game looks, and I think the space theme suits such a game. The same game could be done with simple geometric shapes with a minimalist approach, but the space theme gives it a nicer look. It was a little repetitive for my taste considering the game jam games, but I nevertheless enjoyed it.

Good game, well done!

I think this was a good game, but their was a lack of a fail state (outside of the conclusion) and ultimately was somewhat grind filled to finish. Their should be some variety in acquiring past the second stage if one's trying to go for a cookie clicker style, whereas their should be enemies if one is trying to do a shoot-em-up style of game.

I want to give note to the graphics though as those felt astonishing to look at for a game jam game. It felt a few steps away from geometry wars. Overall it was a good game but it needs some failure state or variety to make it more engaging.

Nice effects. Felt a bit tedious as the game wore on. Probably needed a way of collecting the earlier resources faster as the game progressed.

Bit repetitive, but still quite fun to blast stuff in space. Neat story, and awesome visuals!

This was a really cool interpretation of the theme. Using 3D models for a 2D top-down view was a good choice, and the bloom looks cool. (Unfortunately it’s broken for the WASM build, you may have to disable MSAA.)

Developer (1 edit)

Yes, I spent the last few hours before submitting trying to fix a bunch of issues with the wasm build, and I ended up having to disable bloom and the background shader because webgl is so limited. All the effects are intact in the downloadable version.

Thanks for playing!
