Very interesting gameplay mixing garden planning with QTE events. The gameplay and plant stats were a little overwhelming at first, and the UI is somewhat unclear in places. After a couple minutes of playtime I understood what to do, and the game mechanics are well balancing, striking a healthy mix of challenging but not frustrating.

The art is very nice, especially the boss sprites and plant animations, it really brings the world to life. I love the music and sfx, they fit well with the game's setting and complement the respective gameplay types very well, possibly my favourite part of the project.

I feel plant location and ability didn't have as much of an impact as I'd like, and there are a couple minor nitpicks like spelling and QTE placement over menu screens, but overall I really enjoyed the game and was hooked to the end. Incredible work to do in a game jam, nice polish and put together nicely, well done!

Absolutely incredible game to make in a week. The art was gorgeous and I really liked the strategy of placing the flowers, though some of the flowers could be explained better, chiefly the evicap which say in it's description that it sucks richness from it's neighbours, which makes sense, but then says it increases the casting power of its neighbours as well, despite the fact that less rich soil gives less casting power. Almost everything was very polished except maybe the text, there was a good amount of grammar mistakes, clunky sentences and spelling mistakes (wich instead of which, wetnes instead of wetness and prodyctivity instead of productivity). The time given for the planting phase was the perfect amount, just enough to barely plant everything. The bosses were slightly too harsh and really there should've been a restart button. Still an amazing game, definitely could be a winner

This game feels really complete and polished, the music, the art, everything. Fantastic work! I managed to reach the third boss, but I couldn’t really use all the flowers since there were so many, it was a lot to take in and hard to fully understand, and I never quite understood how the soil and water worked or what impact they had.

It’s a good and very well-made game, great work!

maybe i'm just stupid but i wish the tutorial was a little clearer, the amount of ui overwhelmed me... nevertheless i love how much detail you included in this thing and i agree with everyone who says your audio was great!

Bro this is SICK! When I first saw the timers I was thinking "dang thats a long time" but it went by super fast as I got locked in on the game. The amount of different elements you managed to squeeze into this game is incredible and I really like the peaceful vs battle stages. I think a little better indication as to what plants I should have near each other would've been nice but it was also fun to make my own patterns due to the freedom of the gameplay. Nice work!

The art is absolutely amazing! Not just the bosses but all the individual sprites and the arch tree as well! Great soundtrack too. Had a great time playing, though I did feel a bit overwhelmed with all the different plants and resources on my first go around.

I completed all three bosses. I mainly kept playing because of how good the "peaceful phase" music was haha.

Art is phenomenal as well, especially the bosses.

Perfectly incorporates the theme.

My critiques are I kind of just placed whatever plants I could afford everywhere without caring about their attributes and still ended up winning. I think if it was more clear what each plant did on the field maybe I would've acted differently.

I also would've liked if the quick time event showed up slightly higher so that the purchase menu didn't block the quick time event.

Damn cool game. The transition to the fights is magnificent, and with a great soundtrack as well. I feel there should be some kind of step between having to learn all the different flower types, and doing a fight that tests your actual knowledge of them, like maybe an 'intro fight' of some kind to ease the player into what a good/bad layout looks like. That being said, for the scope of a jam game this is really rad stuff!
