This was a really cute game, though I wish I saw the patched version before I got the dreaded love bluescreen.
The wiggly text and art really nails an aesthetic that's nostalgic, homey, and cozy. I really felt like I was back playing an old Digimon PS1 game for a moment there.
Also hope to buy y2roll this holiday season! Thanks for the fun!
Edit: I did have to edit the love.conf to turn off highdpi and usedpiscale to see the whole game on my retina display. Something to keep in mind if you continue working on this post-jam.
This was great! I liked the mix of virtual pet and RPG mechanics. My strategy was to go to the gym to max out stamina so I could spend more time out adventuring. The art style really suits the game. Great work!
It feels like Tamagotchi and Monster Ranger had a baby. Very fun little game but I was also stopped by the same error Kimbsy got.
Was a crash I didn’t catch before submission.
Uploaded a fixed version to Google Drive, see the reply to Kimsby.
Love the art style, pleasantly surprised how much of a difference the variations in colour palette make.
I got down to 0hp, but didn’t die, which was a little confusing?
Eventually hit an erorr:
Overall very enjoyable though, great work!
Oops, that was a crash I never caught arising from what’s meant to happen when you run out of HP.

Only difference is the crash is fixed.
I love the aesthetic!! Tested out the .love file and no issue on Ubuntu.
